The Somerset Hotel

This is a fantastic hotel, breakfast is buffet included with room fee, moreover, they allow another 4 stuff for you to order from the menu I ordered bake bean, sausages, omelet, sunny side and ate to the fullest heavy big breakfast in such away that lunch can be avoided. Dinner is also sumptuous , rooms are a bit smaller but you have all the amenities. overall 100% for above

Room no 204 entrance door a bit pain in the ass. dificult to open and with frustrations I bang the door, pl remove the entrance lock. TV most of the time no signals. fixed once now again no signal so that i cannot update current news.

Clean and modern hotel. Great bathroom, shower and facilities. The place was quiet and had a generally calming atmosphere. Airport pickup was a breeze. Staff were very helpful and kind at all times throughout our stay. They gave us a 'welcome drink' of lemon tea when we arrived (so good after a long day of travel). I highly recommend the Belle Amie Bistro next door - excellent breakfast and dinner there! Good location in Male City. Plenty of shopping around if that is your thing. I would stay here again!

I booked the Hotel at the last Moment and could hardly communicate my travel details. But on arrival at Male Airport found the Hotel Pick up waiting with a smile and the staff very professional . The check in was very smooth and the rooms large. Our Tour was going nice but in the Night after coming from tour my son got Sick and started vomiting continuously. Not Knowing much about the country we arrived we thought if we can get some Medicine from Pharmacy we called the reception & told about his condition. To my utter surprise the Hotel immediately arranged a cab and a Staff (sorry forgot his name) accompanied me to the Hospital. Test were done, medication Provided and his condition monitored for quite some time before release. His condition improved by next day and we left for Our Home. We are thankful to the entire staff and the Hotel Management for this Humane approach in this Professional Field. My special Thanks to Mr Ganeshan (GM - The Somerset Hotel ) as he kept on monitoring till very late at night and allowed us a late checkout without charging anything extra. They ensured our Tour ended Nicely and we left with a smile back home and with nice memories. Will definitely choose this Hotel Again. The Room service and the Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. Thanks The Somerset Hotel once Again.

Prompt and timely service. We were well received, guided and supported by their courteous staff right from the airport and back to the airport. Room was clean, comfortable and we got free upgrade though we were staying for a night. Good dinner options, covering a wide geography.

We couldn't use the balcony or open the window as neighborhood is too close to reach other. Even the car couldn't reach the front door of the hotel though it is only few steps away from the accessible road. Breakfast could be improved with healthy choices.

It is an excellent place to stay in for one or two nights, while waiting to go to the island resort. The whole experience from the time greet and meet at the airport, till the check in was amazing. Very polite and helpful staff. We tried the dine in option and the food was amazing. Next day morning, they prepared our breakfast in a takeaway boxes and dropped us back to the airport. I was very happy and satisfied with my short stay there. Highly recommended.

Dinner was amazing, rooms are comfortable, great toiletries, staff is polite and helpful. Transfers to and from airport are well organized.

The price is very high compared to similar hotels around the world. The bed in the living room is uncomfortable, in general rooms would need a bit of refurbishment. Windows are not cleaned, and the view from the windows are either surroubding buildings or aircon external units.

Stayed in 2 bed business suite. Central. Great and helpful staff. Free airport shuttle or 15$ for private. Restaurant was good next door for dinner and breakfast. Quiet room on 4th floor. Perfect for one night stay with 2 kids

Sofa bed is uncomfortable but manageable for one night. Air-con works but doesn’t get really cold. Would have liked room to be cleaner (floor wasn’t mopped).

Amazingly personalised. Not big, not small, just excellently adequate for us. Felt like home! Service was excellent, from meeting us at the airport, to checking in, to breakfast, to checking out and sending us to the airport. You have amazing knowledgable staff throughout! And when at hotel, I deal with Hisham a lot, he is an asset to you guys. Keep him at all costs! …

Our room has direct view of building next door, so i felt a little confined when in room. But its ok as we were mostly just resting or out sightseeing.

Airport transport included. The hotel was neat and cleaned. Breakfast was good aswell. The room was decent size and it was clean. I Liked that it had a Nespreso machine in the room for a quick coffee.

The bathroom was abit small and there wasn't like a shower cubicle. You had to shower right next to the toilet lol. See bathroom pics for what i mean.

Everything was perfect at the hotel. Everybody from the hotel staff was incredibly kind and helped you with all the requests. The hotel restaurant has amazing food at a reasonable price ( also had a discount for each meal because of booking reservation ). A big thanks to the fact that they were able to fulfill my request for the checkout ride to a nearby island ( which is further than the agreed trip to the airport )!

I liked everything, but I think a rooftop for this hotel would make it splendid
