Hatten Hotel Melaka

The hotel room was very spacious with a lounge sofa. 2 tvs in every room. The bed and pillow is so comfortable that u can just sleep in. Love the hatten welcoming scent as u enter the hotel vicinity. Very relaxing and welcoming with afew sofas at the lobby for waiting or chilling purposes. This is my multiple repeat stay here and I would say it has always been my no 1 hotel choice in melaka. The staff are all very polite and friendly. I love staying in this hotel. The shopping area is all within walking distance. It is just so convenient.

Recent check in wasn't as smooth as my other trips as I think I have booked more rooms this time. Hope hotel can prioritise checking in for guest with young children, guest with wheelchair or the senior citizen. Other than that everything is perfect.

Room was as described in the pictures - big room, nice view, comfortable Location is spot on - walking distance to the historical sites and jonker region Staff was helpful - polite, fast, competent and friendly

Cosmetic work needed at some areas - the ceiling of the bathroom looks dilapated - the fridge was not functioning - the key-card entrance needs a battery replacement

Breakfast is a little pricey so we skipped breakfast in the hotel. Location is good, walking distance to the malls. Available carpark. Walking distance to lots of the usual tourist hangouts.

Upgrade of the hotel look and feel in the room would be good. The interior especially toilet is very aged.

The hotel is clean and connected/nearby malls. Our king room is spacious and clean. Bed pillows and blanket are clean, no odour. Housekeeping did a good job in changing the bed and pillow sheet. Toilet is clean with strong water for shower. We did not use the facilities eg. swimming pool, gym, spa, so unable to comment. Buffet wise is plenty of food. Enjoyed our stay in Hatten hotel.

The aircon is set at 22°C, unable to adjust. Lifts need maintenance. One or two lifts required inserting the room card to access the floor, and some lifts don't. We were stranded on 1st floor which is the Gallery, and its like horror movie setting. Run down gallery, with glass door open, stuffs on the floor and flickering light. Worst part, that particular lift kept opening and closing and all lift button are off (no light to show going up or down/just blank). 😵‍💫 managed to get into the lift with a guy inside. Going up together. I hope he is a "real" person. 🤭

spacious room. nice view. clean sheet. soft pillow. like the interior. huge bathroom and tub that kids really love. the heater works well. curtain in the bathroom. big glass. mirror, a lot of mirrors. great food.

the room was further back. at first, it was kinda scary for my kids, but later they had fun running. the minibar was empty upon our arrival, though there was nothing for us but it filled up after room service following day. we left the room early and expected the room made up when we return around 4, but they just reach the room to clean. not an issue but was expected the room already done when we back.

the rooms are in need of refurbishing, wall paper peeling and discoloured bathrooms.

Everything is great.Awesome breakfast.Staff are friendly n helpful.Hotel is near to mall.Just walking distance to Mall.Decor in hotel is classy n the chairs at sitting lounge are so nice.Can relax while waiting for yr room to be ready for check in .

My connecting rooms 1755 n 1756 has no view n the windows cannot be opened.for room 1755.Felt suffocating .The fridge is not working n they replaced a new one.I wish they give me 2 single beds n 1 king bed for my connecting room .I forgot to request.Parking on site is charged rm40 per entry.I wish they charged rm40 per day.Room 1755 head bed a bit worn out..should replaced to new one.

I loved the environment and the friendly and efficient staff! Keep up the good work guys! You guys were so much better than a certain barely 4 star hotel that gave me so much grief! Will definitely repeat my stay there with my fiancé ❤️

The fact that room service would enter even if we're not in the room? I mean, we were in our room everytime room service came around, but is that a thing? Hopefully not. But, room service was very polite and efficient and I loved that. Thank you! ❤️

The hotel is located in the central of Melaka and by that means, you can expected traffic jam every now & then especially on weekends. The hotel is surrounded by malls and some are even linked to the hotel which is convenient for a stroll. Plenty of restaurants nearby & attractions are within walking distance.

The door handle to my hotel room were spoilt & some of the elevators were under maintenance during our stay, plus it was during public holidays. Most of the elevator were packed with people that we had to wait for so long.

The staff are all superb, from front desk to concierge to housekeeping to Chatterz. Housekeeping wont give up on you. Was in the bathroom when they knocked. They knocked again about 10-15 min later as my room wasnt set to 'dont disturb'. They made sure you get your room stocked up. So that was pretty awesome. Parents' room had the 'do not disturb' indicator activated so housekeeping didnt bother them, though dad went out when they were cleaning the other rooms to request for shower gels. The location is good, directly opposite Dahtaran Pahlawan, next to Mahkota Parade, and is a popular drop-off/pick up point for plenty of bus carriers. If need to go to Jonkers or over to the neighbourhoods beyond the river, can always get a taxi or ride app. Enjoyed the iftar buffet dinner at Chatterz as well. Hatten Square entrance near the lobby leads you to H&M. Shop & save plastic usage by paying & going back upstairs to your room to keep your shopping items.

There are quite a lot of elevators available and yet they take a while to come to you. Rooms are a bit dated, bathrooms are just as dated. Beds are not exactly luxuriously comfy, theyre just ok. Pillows are a bit thinner than expected. Carpet feels old so it's good that hotel slippers are provided. Maybe the hotel might want to consider to revamp a bit in the future. But i enjoyed the hospitality, that was lovely.
