The Atelier Boutique Hotel

We needed something close to the airport. It cost less than $2 usd in a grab to get here, and was a 7 minute journey! Very cool and unique concept. I loved watching the planes come and go!

Finding this place was a little difficult once we got to the complex. It is located on the 5th floor, so find an elevator at entrance C and take it to floor 5, this will save you walking around like we did! Road as expected was noisy at night when trying to sleep. Checkin system was automated and required a QR code which I didn't have from booking.com. Someone was there to help us, and when they weren't they were very responsive when I messaged asking for help.

I came to this via Grab, the Hotel sent me a whatsapp message to give a clear instruction on which elevator to take. I came to my room - The Bakery Room, which was cuteeee. The room was clean, I had an attached bathroom, the bed was big and fluffy and clean. I had a tv with internet connection and with it all these show options - although it was mostly with chinese sub, I had myself occupied the whole night with it. I just need to come down and go to the downstairs restaurant to get some food. Also the staff was really friendly and helpful. It was a good stay overall .

It has all the necessities and nearby to the airport! Best place to catch flight or to rest after flight before continuing your journey. Comfy bed and love the view. Everything is contactless but the staff rushed in when we mistook one of the room for ours. The staff was so nice and polite to let us upgrade our room and have the one that we mistook. She even waited patiently for bank transfer bcs we were cashless. Love the Recording room, wish it's working though. But we never ask so we never know hahahaa! Anyway, really recommended!

Its not that soundproof, so you still can hear the traffic outside. One of the lights in the bathroom was out but it was in the mid of night when we arrived so we just bear with it. Hmm seemed like the passwords were same for each doors so it's better to lock your room from the inside for safety and privacy.

Amazing property, very modern with characteristic rooms, is stayed in the cafe room and photography room. Showers and toilets are spotless and very modern with excellent Wi-Fi. Very near the airport and comfy beds, the staff kindly looked after left luggage for me when I went to Mt Kinabalu

Online check in very modern and good but asks for alot of information e.g. taking a photo of the passport then having to put in the information again.

The modern decoration and theme of the room was great! Beds and pillows were all clean and comfortable. The process of checking in and checking out was also very easy (bonus marks of the self check in/out kiosk, first I've encountered in Sabah). Lots of movies to watch in the TV provided in the room. All the staffs that I met during my very short stay was very helpful. There was also a fridge and water dispenser (hot/cold) located outside my room. There is also convenience store located very nearby the hotel, as well as cafes and other restaurants. The bathroom is very modern and clean, with water heater provided.

When I arrived, although the bathroom was spotless clean, there was a slight smell from the bathroom. It could just be that the smell was coming from the drainage - so can't really fault the hotel! The smell was gone after a while.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Both the ladies who managed reception were super nice and helpful! Thank you for helping us with the pre-emptive mobile check-in text messages too, it helps prepare guests in advance for the check-in process! Design themes for the rooms were very cute and location was very close to the airport and KK town.

The room we stayed in on the first night was very cute but sadly the bathroom didn't feel very clean and had a very dank smell. The second night we stayed however was much better as the room was newer. In addition, there was quite a bit of renovation happening in the building during the stay and it was very noisy but this is understandably out of the hotel's control.

New Building. Near Restaurants, bank, coffee shops, and Marts. Near Self Laundry. Near Airport. The location is easy for Grab or Food delivery. They have an easy check-in and check-out machine and of course easy after you use it once or twice.

Location is quite tricky if you use GRAB, basically, just search for Bank Muamalat KK Kepayan the lift is just beside the bank. Lift sometimes only 1 available.

Everything good!. From self check-in service, super comfy bed, strong water pressure, variety of movie channel, good wifi connection. The host, eyka is very helpful, she help us with check in issue even though it already midnight. Most important, reasonable price and near to KK airport. If you looking for accommodation that provide basic thing yet important, The Atelier is the perfect choice.

The decoration, the bed, the cleanness, quite place, easy to go every where, easy to park and there have a shop and restaurant near the hotel. Very good facilities. the price affordable and the staff very helpful. Thank you so much

If you can provide a space for praying area with more comfortable. Put a big mirror near the table. I need to wait for take turn using a mirror and toilet. because there are only 1 mirror. in toilet. others than that are excellent. love the place

Really great stay for a pre- or post-flight hotel. I wouldn't stay for longer than one night, maybe two as it is far from the centre of KK but super close (5 min drive) to the airport. Really easy self check-in, amenities provided (coffee, water, shampoo etc.) and clean facilities. Highly recommend.
