Hotel De KOKA

Location is very near to the center (10 min walk), but in a very crowdy place. Breakfast is modest. Parking is good, It is a cozy furnitured hotel. Nice in general and absolutely value at the money. The reception girl was very helpful with the guests, explaining in details things and being supportive.

I got the room from room from booking in USD, while there I was charged the same amount but in EUR (which is slightly expensive). Meaning my room booked was 53 USD, while I was charged 53 EUR. It is not a problem and I didn't make any problem to the reception, but it was wired. 1st time happens to me this thing. Maybe it is my mistake or Booking mistake I don't know.

The location is basically perfect. This hotel is good value for sure. Breakfast okay.

They have a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence from, I think, 2016. I'm sure the hotel was properly excellent in 2016. The problem is, that was seven years ago, and there's been no maintenance work done since then. That means that many things, like most noticeably the ceiling tiles in my room (which were bent and stained and showing visible gaps), are now kind of rundown. It goes like this: when a thing visibly breaks down, it isn't replaced or fixed, and after a while, it starts to show. Also , the beds had terry-cloth sheets, which are not at all comfortable and are a totally baffling choice for a hotel. Still, this remains a good-value, clean option in the heart of the city.

The hotel location is a short walk to Old Bazaar, a perfect place to stay in Skopje, and not so expensive. The free wifi works pretty well fast for downloading videos. Nice room size with minibar, kettle, safe box, toiletries, and hairdryer. Breakfast buffet served in the morning, although not much of a choice, but enough to fill an empty stomach. Also, they accept euros for room payment, which is easy if you don't have Macedonian denar. Free drinking water is available in the hotel lobby. A daily room cleaning and towels were replaced every day.

The bathroom smells of room number 309 were horrible probably was something wrong with the pipe because the odor came from the sink drainage. Additionally, the toilet bowl doesn't flush well. Another remark, I arrived here after midnight, and nobody was at the reception desk. I waited for 30 minutes before someone showed up.

The hotel is located in the City Center near the main landmarks. Has a private free parking place, quite crowded during the summer period. The rooms are spatious with all the toiletries included.Beds quite comfortable.

The breakfast was quite poor with limited choices. The room could it be more cleaner. We choose the marketplace viewing room but wasn’t a good ideea, the locals were partying until 2-3 o clock with music at high volume. Perhaps it doesn’t happens every day, and we were just unlucky. It was Thursday night however.

I have stayed a couple of times at this centrally located, modern hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and everything nearby - shops, sights, restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The buffet style breakfast is rich and varied, suitable also for vegetarians, and there is a water heater and coffee in every room (- no tea though!). Private parking is available in front of the hotel at no extra cost. I highly recommend this hotel!

One minor detail which some people might find awkward: There isn't a lock to the bathroom door in any of the rooms I have stayed in.

Perfect loaction, clean, parking, breakfats

I reserved room without windows by mistake. I didn't think that such a thing existed. given that it was one night, I accepted, but when we came to sleep I found that the ventilation was noisy and we couldn't sleep. I asked them to change our room with an extra charge, but the girl on duty said that it was not possible. I won't go into the reasons. Around two in the morning, since we couldn't sleep, we decided to leave the hotel. I went to the reception and another girl found me a room and everything was fine.

The De Koka hotel is a perfect location to explore Skopje - with an unbeatable value for money ratio. It is right in the middle of the city, where all nice and interesting spots are just in a walking distance. It´s very simple to reach by car, you can park right in front of the building on a guarded parking lot. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with high ceilings.

There are 2 areas where I would suggest a review: offer more coffee and perhaps some tea in the rooms (I love coffee in the morning and only had 2 portions of instant coffee) and add real muesli to the breakfast options.

Very modern new hotel just 10min smooth stroll from Skopje Bus Station. Lovely english speaking staff..had my room very early..massive thank you!..I had fell down outside Skopje Bus Station as pavements could be better as not maintained very well in this city..just be careful!.like Skopje in general...Room was big..enough water for shower on the warm side..Great location..so close to everything. Wifi fantastic. Breakfast was basic but was great and filled me up for the day but Coffee sachets were so so..Plenty of meat..cheese..cucumber..cereal..toast..yoghurt...3 Star Deluxe in my eyes!

Breakfast was adequate but Coffee could be better..Was cold a bit at night in room. ..That is all.

Great location next to a stone bridge and the Old Bazaar, where you can enjoy a variety of local restaurants. The breakfast is fantastic, and the rooms are cozy, comfortable, and air-conditioned. Having private, free parking is a significant advantage. The receptionist is very helpful and fluent in English.

The hotel management should pay more attention to cleanliness. Everything looks great until you examine the details. A glance at the corners of the bathroom floor or a shower should serve as a hint.

The location of the hotes is very good, next to the Basar. The staff was very friendly.
