Three O Nine Hotel

The location was great in the heart of Hamra. A short distance to cafés, bars and restaurants.

Due to the crisis, the hotel charges 10% extra "bank fees" when you pay with Credit Card. There was no information in advance about these extra costs. When you pay in cash, you do not pay 10% extra.

Excellent location in a very cute part of Beirut, great space in our room. Very friendly and cheerful team who are genuinely helpful. Nice views on the city. Excellent coffee. Rooftop bar has spectacular views. Easy to explore a large portion of Beirut on foot from this location.

There is a bit of tiredness in the towels and bedsheets which can be renewed. This is probably a function of the economic situation in Lebanon.

The hotel is situated in Hamra, a beautiful, authentic, vibrant and safe close to the American University Beirut (AUB). Within a few minutes of walking, you can reach streets with distinguished bars and restaurants or the corniche to watch the setting sun over the Mediterranean. From the rooftop, you have a fantastic view over Beirut. You even have a pool with great food. The staff of the hotel is amiable and helpful. In general, you can feel the hospitality all over the place.

The only thing to improve is the WiFi.

I loved the hotel. The location is perfect and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The room is clean and the bed comfortable.

I woke up at 1:30 pm to a party happening in the adjacent room. I called the receptionist and he came straight up to talk to them. All went well for 10 min and the laughing and talking loudly resumed. I called the receptionist again and after talking to them for the second time, they were quiet.

The location was good near the centre and to everything you need to go or see in Beirut. Also the hotel has a good value for money. The rooftop bar is nice. The cafe downstairs serves good coffee. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful in fulfilling any needs. The interior of the hotel has a unique style, what makes it stand out from other hotels.

Especially the bathroom looked a bit worn down. The radiator for example was a bit rusty. Also the glass shower screen was a bit too small. Therefore the bathroom got a bit wet after a shower.

Nice staff, good location near American University and restaurants, hamra area. We did not have breakfast included but bought some at the bar downstairs (part of the hotel), which has really good and cheap, proper Italian capuccino. Nice modern lobby and rooftop area. Rooms are very good for the price, clean enough, but might need a bit of maintenance or upgrading in some places (bathrooms).

We had some wifi issues because one of their servers broke during the stay, but that was temporary. Room 605 had its toilet within the shower area (i.e. after showering the toilet area is all wet). I stayed at the same hotel earlier in room 304 and didn't have that issue.

My room was very spacious and got cleaned every day. Aircon worked perfectly well and the safe inside my room was firmely mounted to the wall. All employees were extremely friendly and also helped me out with money exchange and travel advices. The Food in the hotel restaurant was of great quality and taste. Hamra Street is within five minutes walking distance and the surrounding area felt very safe.

Due to noisy power generators running in the area at night, sleeping without ear plugs was no option for me

This is the best location, if the purpose of your visit is the AUB. The employees are all excellent - friendly and professional. I would like to highlight the great quality of the menu in the restaurant (also available via room service. Great Healthy options are available, which is not very common for a hotel.

Internet could be better.

Firstly, I have to comment on the excellence of the staff. The reception staff were sunny in nature, organised and really helpful in sorting out a range of queries we had regarding our stay in Lebanon in general. Nice guys in the cafe and roof terrace as well. Our room was very clean, functional and a comfortable size. Comfy bed, good pillows. Excellent wi-fi. The view was ok too. There's a very pleasant roof terrace with a small pool and excellent vista of the immediate area and coastline. Prices for food/drinks are reasonable and it's decent stuff. Also, they have underground parking which is invaluable if you have a hire car. You don't even have to park it yourself. Just turn up outside the hotel and one of the guys takes it down and brings it up when you need it. Also, at the time of writing, you could pay with Mastercard/Visa. A lot of hotels in Lebanon will only accept cash at present.

Not so much a dislike but an observation. Hamra is a buzzing area, close to the coast and fascinating for ambling round but it's noisy. The Lebanese know how to live so if you like to go to bed early I'd recommend earplugs.

I stay here every time I come to Beirut. The staff are very kind and helpful, particularly Amran in the coffee shop & Lorina on the front desk. the hotel’s location is central, however on a quiet side street. gym set up is small but enough to still get in a workout, electricity is 24/7, rooms are clean and wifi is pretty good.

nothing, except minor aesthetic points; the decor is a little tired, admittedly (although understandably so…), and the motivational quotes over the beds are a bit odd.
