Best Western Plus Astana Hotel

First of all - location is brilliant. Bayterek monument is just in one block, and Nurzhol bulevard, too. A lot of restaurants, caffees and trade centers here. Starting from normal and up to exclusive shopping. 2,5 kms to Astana Opera, Botanic Garden, Central Park and Khan Shatyr area. Breakfast, pesonnel, services were awesome!

Traffic issues during morning \ evening hours are awful. We late to the Opera for 10 minutes due inability to order taxi for less than 20 minutes to wait. So we preffered to reach Astana Opera by walk. Take traffick jams in account! Mess in documents. We were in need to split bill as paid. Reception forget about it and we didn't control. CHECK YOUR OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS FOR REIMBERSMENT CAREFULLY!

Boy (on reception) did not know kazakh. Asked question in kazakh, replied in russian. I think person which works reception (in Kazakhstan) have to know at least kazakh and russian languages together. It was very discomportable.

Great location, comfortable spacious rooms, especially premium rooms with king-size beds. Friends in the double rooms with 2 twin beds had much less space. Hotel can call a taxi, as they are difficult to impossible to flag down on the street. Even better, download the YANDEX GO app, which works like Uber.

Additional 5% tax beyond the total price quoted on booking.com. The tax was never mentioned on booking.com.

Central location. Comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Convenient little fridge. Helpful reception. Exceptional bartender who helped us with a bit of everything, besides coffee and room service. Like a hotel manager.

Room cleaning all day long. Knock at the door at 8 pm with a cleaning offer kinda awkward. So-called "free wifi" that requires you to consent that your personal data is given to the service provider and agreeing that they can spam you. No thanks! Breakfast was good on Saturday and Sunday when we arrived. Next days the kitchen was recycling hot meals left from the weekend, like hot meat dishes, leftovers of cheese, salami and bread. Omelette and fresh vegetables were good though.

The hotel is close to Bayterek tower, so it´s right in the city center. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the ground floor had really good food and the staff super friendly. I arrived late in the night and the hotel organized the transfer.

The room was not clean during my stay, as it seems the cleaning service only worked in the morning. It was only 2 nights, so it was fine, but still would be good that they inform the guests about this.

Huge and comfortable room. Very nice staff. Good restaurant. Excellent location. Proper relation price & quality.

No internet during all evening and night. Breakfest just acceptable. Difficult communicarion before check in. I could not get information about possibility of eraly check-in.

The location and the price.

The fact that foreign bank cards seem not to work - which is very frustrating. It serms they only have a Kaspi.kz terminal and we are surprised paying is an issue, considering that Best Western is an international chain, and when you choose that chain, you expect good standards. The sound insulation is poor and we could hear cleaning ladies loudly from early morning in the corridors. The bathroom smelled constantly bad (probably the pipes). Breakfast was fine but a bit disappointing. Communication through Booking is slow and incomplete.

The staff here are excellent. They provided the best service that we've had in all of Kazakhstan, which is saying a lot since we've stayed at a dozen or more hotels in the country. The location can't be beat. It is in the heart, the very center of the city. The breakfast was extensive.

The hotel is showing its age. The facade on the bathroom had come off and was taped on in places. There was paint flakes at the front of our door on the floor. The wifi is extremely slow. We couldn't stream at all. There were no English channels at all on the TV.

I really liked the room. Staff was ready to help, very kind and polite. Everything was nice. WIFI connection worked in weird way with my laptop, however, the IT guy was very helpful and we quickly solved the problem.

Soundproof could be better. The choice of tea was not the best in my room, but other things were great.

The location was near to Bayterek. There were cofeeshops, supermarkets, restaurants nearby. Astana is very extended and the use of a taxi is a necessity. The room was very nice, spacious comfortable, also the bathroom was OK. Breakfast was very good, plenty of thinks, coffee. Everythink was very good. The staff was helpfull and informative.Pleasant stay
