In my opinion the LC is the best place to stay in Kingston. You will see reviews on here saying the LC is old and has seen it’s better days and yes there are brand new hotels like the AC and the ROK which if you didn’t know you are in Kingston , you’d think you were in Miami. Yes , LC was built in 1910, the original building is old and you can see this, having said this, that’s what gives the LC its charm. The LC is in the middle of New Kingston so you can walk 5-10 minutes to so many things like Emancipation Park, several eating establishments. The LC has an incredible pool, racket ball courts, tennis courts and a very adequate weight room and you can walk the grounds . You feel as if you are on your own island in the middle of a busy city. So you can pay $300-$400 to stay at the new places if you need to feel special or you can spend $75-$125 at the LC and feel loved

Really nothing I didn’t like. The weight room could use some new equipment but it’s not necessary

Breakfast was balance with fruits, fruit juice and meal, the service from the waitresses was very good. The pool was located at an appropriate place and gymn had variety of equipment Location was good, due to the fact that it is not all inclusive but there were food places nearby you could literally walk out and purchase other types of meals. The restaurant meal i purchased was very good in taste and presentation

The only option for complimentary breakfast was eggs which if you are staying for an extended time you will get tired of that. Anything else had to be paid for. Although children under 12 were allowed free there needs to be a clear indication that their meals are to be paid for and they are not allowed in some areas like the gym so parents might not get to go to the gym because their child cant be left outside alone. The advertisement mentioned the number of table tennis and squash courts it didnt mention that you had to pay additional cost and rent equipment in order to participate in those activities. I got the impression that they were apart of the activities you could do as part of your booking.

First things first...make sure you get the Jamaican breakfast because it is delicious! The hotel was lovely and for a 3* hotel it had so many amenities/facilities that another 4* hotel we went to didn't have. The staff were amazing, shouts out to the 2 guys and the lovely ladies working the front desk and Paul who was our waiter...such wonderful and friendly people, really made our stay worthwhile! The hospitability is one of the best I've ever experienced. The room was big and the twin beds were literally 2 double beds which was awesome. So spacious and clean. The cleaners made our beds and replaced our towels and toiletries every day, I mean this is never heard of in a hotel but I loved it. They were on point!! Excellent location to a few attractions i.e. the Emancipation park and Bob Marley museum. I would 100% recommend and would definitely book to stay here again.

Would suggest night lights around the pool especially for the deeper end, for anyone who wants a night time swim. Had to use our phone torches to see around that area and stayed at the shallow end.

Location was great. Loved the green space and the landscaping. Breakfast was ginormous!! The staff was very helpful every where. Some a little over worked but they were like the little engine and just kept going. They went above and beyond.

I stayed in the old section- my balcony was rotting, the balcony with its lone chair was a little depressing. They were painting the passageway for two days, made it difficult to get around. The stairs for emergency exit needs fixing. An overall upgrade is needed on that whole section of the property.

Most of staff was kind, and helpful. There is available a gym and pool, though I did use it, but it was good to know there are available. Location is good, about 15-25 mins. by car to the Conference Center in downtown, and 5 mins. by foot to Emancipation Park.

The ice machine was neglected, sometimes empty, and most of time the spoon was submerged in a bucket full of turbid water. The restaurant was not good for dinner, and it is pity they only offer soluble coffee, not expresso or at least brewed black coffee, but no, just prepared soluble .

Peaceful and tasty: Bathroom: Clean white bathroom and I love the layout. Small. Toilet not next to sink or shower I liked. Bedroom: Large bedroom, TV, fan, dinning table balcony doors. Think the balcony needs some updating. Restaurant: My children love the pancakes. Menu was well thought of and many choices for vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters. Environment: Park, shade, mango trees, swimming pool although it was not working when I was there. They did organise for me to use another pool which I was grateful for. Staff: Helpful. Helped with suitcase to and from my room. A staff beging with D, she helped me organised my document and provided a folder free of charge.

Location was good felt very safe with surroundings. Very central for everything.

Should be clear if you chose jamaican breakfast you have to pay. This was not a big problem as it was cheap but breakfast included should mean that.

It had the feel of a member's club. The property wasn't overwhelmingly huge and didn't feel at all crowded. The location was perfect, as was the proximity to the area's attractions.

The upholstered comfy single chair in the room. The fabric felt a little dusty and as someone who is sensitive to dust, my skin was a little itchy as a result. I would recommend hoovering the upholstery before/after every guest.

The restaurant was good, and very accomodating of special requests. The rooms were not luxurious, but everything I needed was there and it all worked. The wifi coverage was good. The location was perfect for me, and felt reasonably safe and close to amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely, and I really liked the environment. This place is also Kingston's tennis and squash club, and had fantastic courts, a very well equipped fitness centre and top-notch pool, and lots of local members coming and going in the day and early evening, but got quiet at night. Next time I will bring my squash racquet! With Emancipation Park so close I was able to get out for regular runs. One should bear in mind it is more tennis club than business hotel, but that suited me just fine. There are other more business-y and 24-7 hotels right across the road, so it was very easy to get out and use the ATM or pick up some different food as required.

The room could have been slightly more comfortable - maybe a rug or side table would make it more cosy. The restaurant closed early on Sundays. That said, there were other options very close by.

I stayed at The Liguanea Club while attending a meeting in the city. Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID-19 on the first day of my meeting so needed to isolate in the hotel room. The entire staff was incredibly supportive and accommodating to my situation, making sure that I had all that I needed and providing regular check-ins to make sure I was feeling okay. Very impressed with their dedication to service and appreciative of all their help.

The only issue I had was the wifi would cut out periodically. Since I was working from the room this was a bit of an issue, but it functioned fine otherwise and would not be an issue if I wasn't having to isolate for the week.
