Our stay at this Bed & Breakfast was absolutely wonderful; it far exceeded our expectations. Ettore & Inez are fantastic hosts. Coffee and homemade biscuits on arrival and two wonderfully chilled bottles of water each night before bed. Breakfast was a feast to behold, fresh melon. Hams and salami; 3 types of cheese, fresh ricotta; fresh tomatoes & Boiled eggs. There was always fresh bread and croissants. To go with these there was the choice of 6 (yes 6) f different homemade preserves. His 4 types of homemade biscuits are offered too with breakfast. Ettore was a professional chef and this is shown in his fantastic meal that he offered to cook us. It is €35 per person and worth every cent! There were two different dishes of antipasti, a primo piatti , secondo piatti with meatballs or zucchini and a dolce. The meal was accompanied by Ettore’s own red wine and we finished with a measure of his own limoncello. Ettore speaks no English but uses Google translate to great effect, so communication was much easier than it might have been otherwise. Parking in the old town is not easy but Ettore will show you where to park.

Beautiful view from the room. It felt a bit like staying with a family. There is a single, central communal area which is a small kitchen and large family style dining table. The hosts were very welcoming and made a real effort to communicate with me, despite me not being able to speak Italian. At breakfast, they served home made biscuits, home made jams and other sweet and savoury items (typical cheese and meats). I even bought some jam to take home with me.

It was fine for me, and did not disturb me at all, but the rooms are not sound proofed so you should be prepared to hear other guests having breakfast or music from outside in the evening. For me, it added to the charm of the place.

We enjoyed the taste of true Sicilian hospitality in the heart of beautiful Piazza Armerina. Ettore went out of his way to make our stay memorable. You can drive up to the very historical centre of Piazza to find a parking spot waiting for you at no additional cost. Ettore is a professional chef and cooked for us the best dinner we had in Sicily. Products are all fresh coming from his vegetable garden, including beautiful jams of which we had a homage to take home. Ettore and Ines open their house as much as their heart to their guests, they made our day. Thank you Ettore and Ines!

Nothing!

The accommodations were excellent - clean and comfortable. There are two rooms in the owner's home. Each with private bath. The only common space is the dining room where breakfast is served. There is also a 2 bedroom private apartment on the first floor above the street in a different building around the corner, with no lift. (The owner carried our luggage for us to and from street level). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Piazza Aremina is a very small town and the owner is a chef so we arranged to have dinners there as well. The dinners were fantastic and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the BnB and the food!!

The owner doesn't speak English. With Google translate that was not a problem for us.

If you don’t stay here, you are missing out. It’s a small BnB with rooms that were simple but clean and comfortable. But as so many have noted, the real stars are Inez and Ettore, the proprietors, who treat their guests sincerely as family, gathered around the central dining table. Breakfast is excellent, but dinner was really amazing. Ettore is also a gourmet chef who cooks unbelievable five course dinners, including wine, aperitifs and homemade dessert for a VERY reasonable extra charge. We were there for two nights and the second was even better than the first, the best meals we’ve had in Sicily, and that’s saying a lot. Ettore came to a nearby piazza to guide us to a parking place, then insisted (really) to drive us to the Villa Romana and pick us up there. then he drove ahead of us to show us the way out of the very narrow streets of the Centro. I don’t know of he does all that for everyone, especially if his place is full, which it wasn’t when we were there, but at a minimum it shows the kind of family feeling guests experience. The location was charming and the town was sleepy but delightful, and the Villa Romana is absolutely not to be missed. Stay with Ettore and Inez, I don’t think you can do better.

Sad we couldn’t stay for dinner a third night!

What fantastic hosts, we could not ask for more, it was like spending time with family! You must accept the offer for dinner, this is not to be missed. You will be rewarded with several courses of fresh, home-cooked food by the owner Ettore himself, previously a professional chef. You will also likely be joined by superb company, and enjoy laughing over various drinks :) Breakfast was no less splendid, a buffet with plenty to eat, including jams Ettore has made from his own produce. The location is in the city centre where you can find many restaurants and bars for aperitivo, and a great base to travel from to Villa Romana del Casale. The apartment we stayed in was airy and cool, perfect for the Sicilian summer. It included a reception room and kitchenette; all rooms authentically furnished. Ettore, watch out, next time we will make sure to bring an entourage of people! We look forward to our next stay with you.

Our hosts, Inez and Ettore, were amazing. When we arrived, stressed because our GPS sent us by roads narrower than our car, Ettore graciously offered to direct us to a parking spot and to drive us to Villa Romana di Casale. Inez welcomed us with cappuccino and sweets. We feasted on an amazing tipico 5 course Siciliano dinner made with fresh local ingredients and prepared by chef Ettore. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious with a spread of fresh juice, homemade preserves, fruit, breads, cheeses and cold cuts, more than we could possibly eat. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed watching hundreds of swallows fly by. We were treated like family. Sadly, we were only only there for a night.

nothing it is perfetto!

A great location in the centre of the old town. Not that easy to find, but Google Maps will guide you there. We were warmly greeted by Hectore and Ines with coffee and handmade biscuits, before Hectore helped me park the car in a space he had reserved for us about 50 meters from the B&B. Our room was large and comfortable and had a great view from the window of the square below. Hectore had given us the option beforehand for him to cook dinner for us. We accepted, a decision we did not regret. He is a former chef and restaurant owner who is passionate about food and sharing his love of it with others. It was simply the best meal we had in Sicily. Five courses with wine and coffee for a very reasonable price. Most of the ingredients Hectore had grown or made himself and those he hadn’t, he had sourced from local farmers. Breakfast was equally great, with pastries, homemade jams, cold meats, cheeses, vegetables and fruits. I cannot recommend B&B L'Angelica highly enough. Hectore and Ines made us feel completely at home and like we were part of their family. We would love to return one day!

Everything was perfect.

What an experience! Ettore is a fantastic host, who provides an amazing Sicilian experience. I visited with a friend and it was her birthday - we had the dinner he provides and it was such a fun experience with a couple of other couples, and good value too with lots of wine :) Delicious food, room great value, great location for visiting the Villa with the mosaics nearby.

We were in the separate apartment and the decor was pretty dated, but still comfy and spacious, so wouldn't put me off staying again!

We had an exceptional three night stay at B&B L'Angelica. Ettore, the host, guided us to a parking space via text as we neared the location. (He doesn't speak English, but is very adept at using Google Translate via voice or text.) Ettore and his wife Ines greeted us at our mid-afternoon arrival with refreshments and time to relax a little before showing us our room. This was appreciated, after our very early morning flight and drive from the airport. Our room was actually a quiet apartment in the next street, with windows that overlook the entrance to L'Angelica, so we had a living room as well as a bedroom, bath and kitchen. Ettore is a chef, and offered dinner to the guests each night. The dinners are multi-course extravaganzas at a very reasonable price, so do plan to eat there. You will want to pace yourself, though, as each course includes more food than you may be used to eating at a meal! The included breakfast offerings are also exceptional, with everything from pastries, to meats, cheeses, eggs, homemade jams and marmalades. The location in the Centro Storico is great for walking to the Duomo and exploring the winding Medieval streets. We particularly enjoyed being in a town which isn't solely tourist-oriented.

Nothing to report.
