Hotel S. Ercolano

Amazing location, characteristic rooms and great staff. I loved my stay at this hotel. It allows you to reach easily any place in Perugia as it’s very close to Pincetto escalators and Minimetrò. If you are looking for a room with a lovely old style atmosphere, you won’t get disappointed. And as already said, great staff: helpful, welcoming and friendly.

Sometimes noisy, but unfortunately this depends on other customers who don’t get exactly where they are.

Location was outstanding and made our stay in Perugia so easy and convenient.

Fair amount of noise from the hallway as people came and went and from other rooms, but it was always quiet after 11 or so. People smoked in their rooms (which is illegal in Italy) often with the cigarette hanging out the windows and since the windows and small balcony are very close, it was unpleasant and hard to get away from the smell. No elevator, so getting luggage up and down stairs was a challenge for me.

We were extremely delighted with the accommodation and the location of the hotel, as well as with the communication process. Everything that we asked for was quickly answered and we were most grateful especially for the fact that we were provided exactly with the room we desired (the room WITH THE VIEW. Romantic increase rate: 100%). For budget travellers like us, the hotel was absolutely amazing and so, so, so close to the city centre. The room was very clean too. This is a positive review because all our expectations were met and our stay was so very enjoyable and lovely. We would definitely return there. GRAZIE MILLE!

The location is amazing and accessible to the main piazza’s in Perugia. The staff are very friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat, shops etc. we even got given a little Perugia souvenir from the staff. The beds are really spacious and comfortable and extra pillows are provided if you need. I am really fussy when it comes to comfortable beds and I had the best nights sleep. The rooms are dated however they are very clean. I think value for money and what you get is incredible.

The room was clean, comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom. The location is great considering it's near the center of Perugia.

The room temperature was a little cold for my liking, I had to wear layers to be able to sleep. The hallway to the rooms is dark and you have to turn on the switch by yourself. I had to leave my luggage at the reception after checkout, but apparently the reception closes between 11 am. and 1 pm., so I had to carry the luggage along with me before it was time for my train, so I had an uncomfortable walk in Perugia.

The location was unbeatable! Close to the centre that it was just a flight of staris away from the centre. We were in walking distance to everywhere. The location was quite as well so we were not disturbed but the city life. We were comfortable enough. We only slept and showered at the hotel as we were always roaming around so we did not need extra facilities. We had a small fridge with two free water bottle on arrival and the fridge came in handy when we bought chocolates to take back home. No bugs in the room and the place was kept very clean

Its no where near a luxary hotel so dont expect modern furniture. But the bed was made everyday and the towels were replaced.

This hotel has the perfect location - 5 min walk to city centre and 2 min walk to the "mini-metro" (which is actually a funicular that takes you from Perugia train station up the hill, on which Perugia is built). The staff was super nice- I have food allergies and they let me use the microwave to heat my own food. The rooms open onto an inner courtyard.

The only disadvantage is perhaps the lack of an elevator, which in a historical building such as this cannot be expected.

The hotel was perfectly located, close to the center but quiet at night. Room was cleaning every day. The staff is very nice, they managed to arrange check-in for us already at 10:00, thank you very much for that. We received a small present for parting. I can recommend.

The shower screen did not close, so the bathroom was wet after the shower.

the hotel is well placed - close to the upper stop of the mini- metro, and near the sights of the upper town the room was small but pleasant

it was only after making the booking, and receiving confirmation from booking . com that you can check in any time, that a message arrived from the hotel to say there is no check in from 1300 to 1600 the hotel is shut during these hours : you can’t get into your room or leave your bags I would not have booked here if I had known, and I don’t like being caught by surprise

For a budget Hotel ........Hotel S. Ercolano offered a spacious room, clean, great location and fantastic staff willing to help and with a great attitude (thank you guys) in a relaxed atmospher

There wasnt anything to dislike However if you are piccy this may not be your cup of tea however if you enjoy your Holidays and just crack on with it this will suite all your needs
