Hotel Sole

Very clean & comfortable room. Beautiful seaside view. Close to beach. Enough food for a good wholesome breakfast. Close to public transport and tabbacharia where you can buy tickets for transport. Helpful receptionists they do their best to help your needs. No complaints about hotel or staff. Good value for money.

Unfortunately, came end of summer season . Lots of restaurants were closed down. I had no car so the good attractions were unreachable by public transport. Trains were ok but bus transport was very unreliable which somedays left us stranded. Buses in Montisilvano stop at aroung 10pm . Also went to Sulmona, buses do not work on Sunday, there is a long walk uphill to the center. Honestly, not much to see & do except walk along the coast side, at relax by beach or pool if you are not willing to travel and walk to kingdom come..

Hotel Sole has everything you would expect from a top-class, international chain but it is run and owned by a delightful and friendly family. The room was large, cleaned daily, towels changed and had a super balcony and view of the beach only a few yards away. It has a quiet and calm atmosphere. There are sun-beds and umberellas on the beach for hotel guests, and a lovely pool. At the beach is a super cafe run by by a lovely chap, very friendly and helpful. The hotel has bus stops outside, only 10 minutes to Pescara centre. I woul recommend Hotel Sole to everyone and would definitely stay there again.

There were NO dislikes of this hotel.

Very clean, bed confortable, sheets and towels like everything else in the rooms seem new, they are qualitative and smell nice, nice pool area for children, every room seems to have included sun beds at sea reserved for the room. Staff very nice , friendly and helpfull. Great place with nice people. Location is also great, straight on the beach. Price very good.

- spacious, very comfortable and super clean rooms and bathroom, - very kind and helpful service including thorough everyday cleaning, - breakfast was sufficient, both sweet and salty options, there was also a barista doing delicious coffee, - great location in front of private clean beach, - very nice clean swimming pool, - super comfortable and clean beds.

Absolutely nothing!

Pros: - perfect for few days of pure relax - welcoming and corteous personnel - excellent price to value ratio - clean rooms - sea view and distance to the beach - well maintained swimming pool area - aircon, fridge and safe in the room - varied and tasty breakfast - many restaurants nearby - bust stop just around the corner - tidy beach

Cons: - roof terrace could be arranged much better (the mini pool or whatever it was seemed to be forgotten) - very close to the main street, that means noise is inevitable - we found triple rooms rather tiny for 3 persons - caffe can be done only with help of barista (or just coffe machine didn't work) - a little bit distant from larger grocery store (Oasi)

Wonderful room in a new renewed building. Clean, comfortable. Very nice people at front desk and at the bar. Large parking inside the hotel at 50m from the beach. Great pool and private beach places included in my stay ! Very good lunch at the and great breakfast buffet.

Almost perfect, some noise from people coming back in the night on same floor.

Located on the promenade, just across the street from the private beach. Easy to reach by bus or train from the station in Pescara (they can also offer a shuttle option). There is also a bus from the airport if you are flying in. I was welcomed by smiling staff members in an airy and modern reception area. I went there on the second half of sept which for them is end of season. Maybe because of this or maybe because I’m lucky my room had been upgraded to a superior class, with sea view. What a treat! The hotel is very clean and I was assigned a room that was recently renewed (I was told they are gradually modernising all their rooms). Both the room and the bathroom were really spacious and clean (great shower!). The Beach area is well maintained and the guy at the beach bar was super polite and welcoming. Umbrella and beach beds included in the room (you’d pay extra in peak season). As mentioned end of season means less people around, hence the beach was not packed and there was plenty of space between guests. The water still warm and the temperature perfect in my opinion (25-28 degrees). You get tanned without getting sunburned and you don’t have to spend half day spraying sun cream! Breakfast was good (not buffet because of Covid), with a mix of sweet and savoury options. The majority of the staff members are young and very professional, I think they are the ones modernising the hotel and bringing it to the next level. It’s definitely a high quality for a 3 stars. Well done to the whole team, including the old generation who must have passed on their experience and work ethic! Ps: The hotel is split in 2 blocks, I guess the one facing the street (seaside) is more modern. Between the 2 blocks, on the second floor there is the pool area and some space for kids. Didn’t use it but looked again spotless. Finally they even have a terrace with a fantastic view and a shallow mini pool...looks to me like a great place to be on a birthday trip!

Nothing really. I think it’s a matter of time and the whole building will be modernised and look even better. Breakfast is served in the old block and you see that the facility looks a bit tired (still super clean). End of season means less tourists around so some restaurants are closed and others are half empty. If you prefer the buzz of a busy promenade go earlier in the season!

A family-run hotel, Warm and friendly. Right across from the sea. Very clean. Modern decor. Cheap bar. Recommendation from the hotel to eat at the Carpe Diem pizzeria. It was superb. Pavement side bars and restaurants were open. Near airport. I bet the hotel and resort are throbbing in the season. Good bus link to Pescara.

Visited at the end of September and ALL the beach bars/restaurants were closed for the season.

The HOTEL IS PERFECT in a horrible lication but it is not their fault. The most beautiful thing in this place was this hotel but you dont want to get out of it, there is nothing to see. VERY MODERN AND CLEAN ROOMS, BIG BATHROOM, PERFECT POOL and the TERRACE AWESOME SEA VIEW. The guys in the reception SUPER COOL and NICE. FREE PARKING and FREE BEACH FRONT although there is not reallg a beach, very little bays because all of those stone barriers the sea has aling the coast.

That we didnt stay more nights.

The staff is really friendly. The breakfast was very well organized (Covid wise) and I probably had the best cappuccino in a hotel ever (hand made with a REAL machine ;)) The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was very clean! The cleaning ladies did a fabulous job every single day. The private beach is just over the street, very clean and the beach bar offers a good variety of snacks and drinks. The ocean is outstandingly clean in this area. The hotel is close to a very good pizzeria (also take away is possible) and to several groceries stores. Everything can be reached by foot within minutes, even though the hotel is not located in the center of Montesilvano. The view from my room (5th floor) was overwhelming!

The rooms are noisy unfortunately. The doors always slam if you don’t close them properly. So sleeping longer than 7 am was nearly impossible. My shuttle back to the airport wasn’t possible which was kinda upsetting but the hotel staff called me a taxi. A little more pricey but worked out fine. The beach is located right next to a main traffic road. So it can be a bit noisy but it’s not that bad, especially when you’re staying a bit closer to the beach.
