As we have seen in another review, do not hesitate a second to book a room at Mamma Lucia! Our stay at Mamma Lucia was absolutely amazing. Starting with picking us up from the train station in the evening, prompt and clear communication to prepare the check in, quickly answering all our questions. We were very warmly welcomed with a tour of the city with their beautiful Vintage Fiat 500, including great pictures of us with and without the car in relevant spots of the town and a visit to a local winery (please try the Primitivo di Manduria wine, it's so good). Breakfast every morning of our stay was amazing and with so much option (including a delicious homemade cake, fresh fruit, fresh local pastries, yoghurt, milk, coffee, juice..... and more), with full serving. A true gem! Bedroom was big, the bed & pillows were very comfy, very well equiped and tidy. All bedrooms have a private bathroom, also equiped with hairdryer, which for me was a plus. Each day, our beds and towels were tidied up, so we were always coming into a tidy room. They also provide shuttle services to and from the beautiful nearby beaches, with prior booking (consult for prices, depending on beach distance). Finally, our hosts were so kind, caring and friendly! They were well prepared to efficiently communicating with us and was still possible to have some nice conversations about Manduria, while riding together. it's a B&B , but we can surely say it's even better than a hotel. They gave us tips on what to do and where to eat/ drink, making our stay the best possible. We were actually sad we had to leave.

We loved everything about our stay with Mamma Lucia. Fast and clear communication, a heartily welcome and a very neat and hygienic room! Giusi gave us many tips to explore the neighbourhood. She prepared us a wealthy breakfast with delicious home made pasticciotto (a local pastry). She and her husband helped us finding a beach place where we could sit out the heat of that day and they let us take fruit and snacks. We had such a lovely and welcoming stay and can’t imagine giving any score below the maximum! We will be back here ☺️

The host was very nice and she gave us suggestions about places to visit. She prepared an abundant breakfast 😋 with delicious homemade bakes. Easy parking a few blocks away.

The room could do with some renovation in our opinion. The bathroom was not in the room although private and clean. Needs new good hairdryers. Ours had the front piece missing byt as soon as I informed her in a few minutes the host returned with another one, unfortunately this one was not powerful at all :( but I appreciate the hosts efforts to help me.

Our stay at Mamma Lucia was so much more than we were expecting. On arrival we were given the choice of rooms, ours was lovely and clean with everything you'd expect and a nice modern ensuite. We were asked what time we would like breakfast and were presented with a great selection of food including fresh croissants and a freshly baked apple cake by the host which was delicious. On our last morning we needed to leave before breakfast but the host was kind enough to put some things in the fridge for us to take with us (Including some of the aforementioned cake!). On the first morning after breakfast we were offered the opportunity of a tour of the old town in an original Fiat 500 which was just the coolest thing and so kind of the owners. In spite of a lack of crossover language, the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating and used a translator app so we could all understand each other fully. The B&B is in a great location within walking distance of everything in Manduria but tucked away in a quiet location. I highly recommend staying at Mamma Lucia if you are looking for B&B accommodation in this area!

The parking is free on street, which is fine so long as you expect to navigate narrow back streets.

The property was exceptionally clean with superb facilities and convenient to the town centre of Manduria. Our hosts were very welcoming and we had the bonus of Giusi being a great cook and the food she presented for breakfast was delicious. Also Salvo offered to take us personally around the area sightseeing but unfortunately we didn’t have time to fit it in with our schedule.

The place is very nice, in a very nice location right in the heart of Manduria, with reasonably easy parking as well, Giusi and Salvo are a blast, Salvo gave me a great tour of the old town in his red classic Fiat 500, and they pointed me to great food places and beaches right from day 1! Giusi was super kind and had my shirt washed/ironed. Stellar hosts and very nice facilities, very nice breakfast with local pasticciotti, homemade cake and nice coffee at will! The bed is very comfy as well. Absolutely recommended! Grazie Giusi & Salvo, ritornerò :-)

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

We went to Manduria for a stopover on the way to Salento, and it was one of the highlight of our trip. This was merit of the warmth and kindness of our hosts, Salvo and Giusi. The room was spotless clean. The breakfast was well looked after, including delicious local and homemade pastries. In addition, we also asked whether it was possible to do a laundry, and Giusi helped us out with this as well. But the warmth of their care went well beyond a standard b&b. Salvo brought us on a car tour of the town, showing us spots known to the locals - which as tourists we would have surely missed, such as the local winery, the 2500 years old “messapici” walls and tombstones, or the jewish district. And the day after he even gave us a more unique experience: he brought us on a city tour on his 50 years old Fiat 500. We are ever grateful to our hosts for this unique of a kind experience and we definitely recommend going to Mamma Lucia!

Very nice place in the center of Manduria. Nice and friendly host. Breakfast included, coffee as you wish. Very clean room and bathroom. Television and free internet. Room with aircondition. You have to get used to parking like in Italy ;)

nestled in a quiet street, it offers the perfect balance of access to the main streets but is quiet enough to have a good night’s sleep. It was clean, the homemade cake at breakfast was amazing and the bedroom had everything, all in good working order.

The staff went out of their way to help us; they even drove us to the site of a wedding we were attending when we learned there were no taxis in town. Amazing!

Nothing to complain about, all was fine.
