Relais Villa Porta

The location is stuning, you can relax in every corner of this awesome place, be it in the restaurant, private beach, jacuzzi, sauna, or the excelent private event terrace and hall with a awesome view of Lake Magiore, the staff is absolutely great and attentive, very in tune with your needs, making things really easy and make you feel like home. The small details make a difference, from all the branded items, to the room cleaning service. Room service not only changed our towels in the morning, but refilled the Nespresso caps for the coffee machine you have in the room, changed the used coffee cups, cleaned the room, even whiped the shower cabin clean, absolutely great service, excelent job there. The restaurant was a great experience, the food was really delicious and the staff was very aware of your needs. The breakfast was great, a lot to choose from. We booked just for one night, but everything there made us book the next night as well. We where amazed that this location didn’t get a 5 star rating, since the way they present things is way above a 4 star hotel. Nothing much not to like here really.

Because the building is of an old design there is no elevator, so carying the luggage to the room is a bit hard, the staff there does help you if needed. The parking lot is to small for all the guests that are usualy there, so parking might be a problem, but they do offer some solutions to this issue, maybe not ideal but it works out fine in the end.

Hotel was incredible, location is perfect! Hasn’t ruined yet with buildings. with green and blue colors it has amazing view. And breakfast was extraordinary. 😋

our check-in was around 1.30 am. After 8 hours driving the receptionist gave us a room for 2 persons. Even we had booked for 3 persons. We could have thought it was a innocent mistake if she didn’t insist on forcing us accept that room. We were staying just 2 nights and 1 of them can be ok in a double bed with 3 persons in her opinion. After half an hour speaking by her sensible colleague’s help she accepted to give us a proper room. That behaviour didn’t suit this lovely hotel. I must add that all the other staffs were amazing!

This is one of those places you stumble upon every few years that completely blows you away. I stayed for 4 nights with my fionce, and we barely left the grounds. The views from the private grounds out along the length of Maggiore are simply breathtaking. The service was excellent, the restaurant was delicious, and it was all very reasonably priced considering what you are getting. I expect we will be coming back here many times.

We spend 7 days at this beautiful hotel. At our arrival we got an update to a much bigger and nicer room. We were very thankful for that. The views from the hotel and the garden are amazing. The small town has a trainstation and a busstation, so we had no issues to get around even without a car. The breakfast ist amazing, lots of delicious cheese and much more.

The rooms could have a better soundproofing...

a very nice hotel directly on lago maggiore. friendly reception, nice room with a lake view. we only stayed one night, arrived at late dinner time and left fairly early the next morning. the room was spacious and quiet, even though it was right next to the internal staircase. however, during the season with more guests in the house, there may be some more noise. we ate in the restaurant, which was completely full and is oriented to higher cuisine. the food was excellent, the staff very friendly and professional. i think many people dined there, that were not staying in the hotel. beautiful views on the lake with a very nice atmosphere. breakfast was as well very lavish, everything you would want was served. the hotel is right between the main road and the lake. however, everything in the hotel was oriented toward the lake, so we did not hear any traffic noises during the night.

No real access to the lake for bathing which is a shame. No real pool. Instead of only focussing on mooring places they should have an island to allow guest to go for a swimming in the lake (as also no pool)

Location, breakfast, beds, the staff was very kind and helpful, the food in the Restaurant Tiffany was excellent! You can do a lot of activities in the hotel: chill out in the sunbed area, go for a swimm to the lake (the water is very clear), can rent a paddle board, kayak or even a boat; I read that depending on the day you have different activities as yoga, bicycle tours, etc. I just rested most of the time because the view is very relaxing.

In Booking.com the hotel is called Relais Villa Porta but in the building the name is different, it is "Camin Hotel Colmegna" (see the picture) so it is a bit confusing. The arrival is just at the side of a tunnel so it is not easy to see it at once. But it is not a complaint, it is more something to take into account to arrive easier.

Beautiful location on the lake with fantastic views. Loved the outside spaces with seating, loungers and daybeds. Great service from staff for drinks etc by the lake. Wonderful breakfast and excellent restaurant for dinner. Onsite free parking

Nothing really all lovely. A little bit on the pricey side but lovely.

A naturally beautiful setting, with blooming roses and vines as you walk in and all throughout the exterior of the building. Staff were all very respectful and pleasant, capable of speaking many languages. The rooms were a bit small but really it is all the space you need. The bed was very comfortable with great fluffy pillows! Wonderful breakfast room with a view of the lake. There were plenty of options including fresh fruit, they even offered smoothies. They had an organic table of things if you are in to that. We ate two nights in the restaurant that had a magnificent sunset view of the lake. The food was excellent and fresh, the dish presentation was lovely. Thank you Enzo for being such a gentleman! We really enjoyed our stay!

We thought to go in the jacuzzi in the evening however the water wasn’t warm enough so we decided not to go.

We spent a wonderful time. All the staff members are really nice, friendly and get you happy. Location, ambiance, view and atmosphere are wonderful. The hotel is nice, quite, really comfortable. The view from the restaurant is amazing and the cuisine really good. Breakfast is a perfect moment.
