Garni Hotel Katzenthalerhof

- cleanliness - breakfast - good, diversified (fresh fruits & vegetables to make your own juice), fresh local honey (never tasted a better one) - facilities - pool, outside gym etc - view - close to Dolomites & Garda Lake - somewhere between them - big rooms and some of the have 2 toilets - soundproof walls (except the doors)

- a lot of staff members do not speak nor understand English - the cleaning ladies entered our room before the checkout - small & not enough parking places - we arrived later in one night and there were no available parking places, we were able to park somewhere in the front of a door & very close to another car. There are also some parking places available in the garage, but no one explained us if we are allowed to use them and how to open the garage door in case of need.

The breakfast was a great surprise and one of the highlights of our stay, the selection of food is great and there also is a juicer so you can make yourself a juice with carrots, celery, apples etc. You can also easily make a freshly pressed orange juice and cook your own egg, loved it. All ingredients were of great quality. The breakfast room is a beautiful place too with a view on the valley. Overall the hotel style and decoration is very tasteful as you can see on the photos. The staff was extremely friendly (really everyone) and very helpful, we needed to get a shirt ironed very last minute and they offered to do it for us. We also borrowed some umbrellas for a day and got to do a late checkout on our departure day. Location is wonderful too, you can go for a very nice walk starting at the hotel as there is not much traffic on that road, you just need to consider that it’s on a hill so be prepared.

The only downside for us would be the pool area. In the middle of the summer with 35 degrees outside we would have loved to take a dip but the whole pool room was like a sauna, so hot it was unbearable. it’s strange because the climate in the rest of tue building is nicely regulated with air-con.

Small extraordinary hotel on the hill in the middle of apple plantation and vineyard. Beuatiful view from room. Comfortable bed, all you need you can find in the room. Breakfast was perceft, selection very wide and delicious. Breakfast room with conection of old wooden and new modern style is excellent plus view results with very postive feedback and wish to you see you also next time.

As hotel is on small hill, we had a problem to find it. There is some signpost on the main street but when you go up in the hill no any sign for hotel.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is in a very beautiful location. The rooms are big and very nice decorated. Everything was clean and the breakfast was great!
