Hotel Ideal

The setting is quite beautiful but the people running it were fantastic! Paola helped in numerous ways, from coordinating transfers from the airport to our ferry to the hotel. We were delayed many hours, caught the last ferry, and they had a delicious dinner waiting for us at 1:30 in the morning! We almost cried, it was such a kind gesture. Paola gave great suggestions on restaurants, and fun things to do…including her family’s lovely winery! The restaurant on the property had some of the Best food on the island. The people at Hotel Ideal all treated us like family. We hope to come back and HIGHLY recommend this for your Ischia stay.

Great location for families! We loved the exquisite garden where our son could play, it was very well maintained and beautifully designed. The entire staff was extremely helpful starting with the welcoming attitude and regard toward our active son and continuing with recommendations for places to visit and eat at. A small but lovely beach can be found nearby and it is a great choice to eat your dinner back at the hotel. The food is lovely and so is Paola! We definitely recommend this place if you decide to visit Ischia and would for sure come back!

We chose to stay at the Hotel Ideal because of the reviews - and this place did not disappoint us in any way. Hotel Ideal is exactly that - IDEAL! Paola and Dario are probably the most friendly and helpful hosts we have ever met - helping with reservations, and ideas on activities - they even helped us book a boat to drive around the island by ourselves! The grounds were absolutely beautiful - calming and peaceful. It is more beautiful than the photos. The rest of the staff was just as friendly. The breakfast was extensive and delicious - the lunch and dinner were equally fantastic. The pool and gardens are an oasis - with a thermal hot pool and a regular one. We could have stayed just at the hotel the whole day if not for all the other things to do. Very family friendly with something for everyone - We were traveling with our teenage daughters and we all loved it here - it feels like you are at a grand resort without the crowds. We would definitely return to Hotel Ideal and highly recommend it.

The only thing that was not perfect was the rooms - they are VERY clean but small and a bit outdated. The balconies had beautiful views which was a plus. We had some difficulties with the AC, which could have been working better - but you don't come to Ischia to sit in your hotel room! Everything else about Hotel Ideal: people/staff, food, gardens, and pool, make up for the small rooms! Don't let the rooms stop you from coming here.

The staff were beautifully accommodating, friendly and kind from the moment we confirmed our booking. They helped every step of the way from the moment we stepped off the plane and I cannot speak highly of them enough. Bravo. The place was heavenly. My only problem with leaving this review is that i want to keep this place a secret so it stays the same forever :)

Beautiful place. The staff was the best part about this stay. Paola is one of the nicest persons I have met. Always smiling and helping us with everything we needed. Also the outside area was very nice, spacious, and lots of places to sit in the garden and by the pool.

Nothing negative to say really. The only thing worth mentioning is perhaps the location. It is not super central. The hotel is pretty close to Spiaggia Dell'Isola beach (350m walk, with a bit of uphill). But if you are going to any other beaches, the nearest one is Citara beach which is a kilometer away. There also isnt a lot of restaurants that are closer than 1km away(there is a restaurant on the hotel where you get a 3 course dinner for 20 euros). So you may need to spend some money on taxi if you dont like walking. Or rent a scooter like we did (which Paola of course fixed for us).

Hotel Ideal is absolutely BRILLIANT!! Such a wonderful place to stay. Paola & Dario are the most lovely, warm and helpful hosts. They are more than happy to help with anything … or recommend where to go. Wonderful beaches are near by but the pool at Hotel Ideal is lovely for relaxing by. Also it’s an excellent place for people with young children! We took our 5 year old and she loved it! Hotel Ideal and the people who run it 10/10 EXCELLENT PLACE!

Everything was perfect! Room, exceptional garden, breakfast, drinks and this view! The owners are super helpfull and even offered us a free shuttle to the ferry at the end of our stay. It's also in a perfect location, between Forio center and Citara beach, 15 min.walking for both. We recommend to anyone and hopefully we will come back soon! 🇵🇱🇺🇸❤🇮🇹

I cannot speak more highly of this wonderful hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us happy. This place is amazing, the location is so close to the beach, and the grounds are spectacular! Dario and Paula run the place, and they treated us like family. And always with a smile on their faces!

Nice and friedly hotel nearby a beach (only 5-7minute walk) with a beautiful garden and flowers. I loved the mountains view from the pool. The staff was really attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable with a lovely patio and garden around. We recommend the hotel and location!

Hotel ideally located near the center of Forio, quiet and not far from the bus stops. Pleasant shady garden, relaxing pool with a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains. The big plus: a dedicated, kind and professional staff led with great efficiency by Paola. At this level it is exceptional enough to be underlined!

A little update of the rooms' decoration could add to the charm of the stay.
