NH Catania Centro

Staff were fabulous. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room (it wasn’t functioning). And they moved us to another, bigger room immediately. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast also great—tons of choices and regularly refreshed. Two coffee machines! Centrally located.

Fitness center is very small-in a converted room. Just a bike, treadmill, and weights. You must book a time slot in advance to use. Also, parking spaces only for 7 cars which you can’t reserve. There is a private garage two streets over (very friendly staff on site) but 18 euros a day and closed on Sundays between 12:30 and 18:00 so you can’t put your car in or take it out then. Street parking at your own risk……and it’s a risk!

It was a relief to get room after a rather disastrous stay at another hotel locally. We had stayed in NH hotels in Spain and did not realise there was one in Catania so were relieved to find it as our experiences in Spain had all been positive with this chain and they seem to be able to be consistently able to deliver their standards, regardless of where they are. The stay reminded me of why i like them and their attention to detail. This is how a chain hotel should be.

really cannot think of anything to criticise. I think there was parking if you need it, and the location was just right, ensuring a pleasant walk to the main dining and entertainment areas, but it had a pleasant cocktail bar with menu if needed. The coffee maker in the room was perhaps the only item that maybe could be reviewed, but was minor, as they had instant if you wanted a stronger start to the day. I could have done with more desk space but did not miss it and i am sure they would have provided a space for me- i think there is a business centre. The room was good size and larger than expected but i think we were upgraded as member of loyalty programme, which was appreciated very much indeed.

We landed in Catania at 1:20 AM and this was one of the rare hotels which had 24h reception at no extra cost. Our check in was fast and smooth, the reception was expecting us, which was great as we wanted to get to the room as quickly as possible. The room was quite spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Location is also good as you have many shops and restaurants in walking distance.

We only stayed 1 night at the property so there is not much to say. the furniture was a bit old, however everything was clean. I found the rate of 96e with no breakfast to be a bit pricey.

the room was OK, we had a good view of Catania and it was well equiped with items needed. the hotel is very well located close to via etnea and corso italia.... 2 main thouroughfares in catania. We need to thank the hotel for excepting to change our dates last minutes since we had some issues which inhibited us from reaching Catania as per original dates. They saved us a lot of hassle by accepting our request to change through booking.

the bathrooms are a bit dated with some broken tiles. the maids where not using the masks when doing the rooms.

Amazing hotel with great staff and a friendly, warm and accommodating atmosphere. House keeping is daily and although it takes sometime everything is done immaculately and as expected. Staff are approachable and friendly if you need anything and the buffet breakfast was amazing! I'd certainly visit again based on the price as you couldn't ask for anything better!

The bed was really comfortable, the airco was really nice and worked very well, the location was very good; the bus from the airport stopped before the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The cleaning lady came everyday to clean our room. The view from our room was also really cool.

The only thing was that the drain in the shower didn’t work properly, we stood with our feet in a pool of water when we showered. They tried to fix it but it didn’t work. And also this hotel would be A+ if they had a kettle for some tea or coffee in the morning.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the center but quiet. The bus to the airport stopes next to the hotel. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is also good. The air conditioner in the room really changes the temperature (not like in the latest hotels, where they only give you the illusion you can change it) and you can open the window as well.

Everything was great. We loved to stay in this hotel.

Front desk staff was staff very friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was great. Very convenient to catch airport bus (bus stop across the street - only 4 euros to the airport). A little bit out of city center but easy walking distance - just five minutes to Villa Bellina (a lovely park). Standard business type hotel, room clean and comfortable.

Nothing really, it was a pleasant stay.

The Hotel Location, the staff that were very professional and always willing to support. The breakfast was very good.

I can not say that i didn't like it. As a suggestion i would say that the bedrooms would need to be renewed (e.g. carpet on the floors).

The property was conveniently located in the centre of Catania. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. The food served at the breakfast buffet, restaurant and room service was of a high standard with great variety and delicious tasting.
