Hotel La Floridiana

We booked the suite with a terrace and sea view, I loved the details in the room which had an authentic touch. The staff were very attentive and kind, they even noticed my birthday day and sent a complimentary cake to my room and sang for me, they helped us book for a private tour yacht and advised us on places to visit, I would say they will do the extra mile just to please the guests. The location was few minutes walk to the shopping area and cafes. The guest have to put in mind that the hotel is only reachable by walking, to avoid dragging your luggage all the way from the taxi stop to the hotel but this can be managed of course by the hotel to pick and drop the luggage service.

From the moment we arrived at the elegant Hotel La Floridiana, we were embraced by an atmosphere of unparalleled hospitality and warmth. The entire team, from the welcoming front desk staff, the diligent housekeeping team, the skilled bartender, to the attentive hotel manager, collectively ensured our stay was truly extraordinary. Our room, adorned with a jacuzzi, became a sanctuary of luxury and relaxation, providing an idyllic setting for our family moments. Waking up to the serene ambiance of Capri and easing into the evening in the jacuzzi became a cherished routine. The crowning jewel was undoubtedly the captivating view from the pool. Gazing out at the vast expanse of blue, set against Capri’s iconic landscape, was an experience that left us in awe every single day. As we leave with a heart brimming with memories, we eagerly anticipate our return. Hotel La Floridiana, you’ve truly captured our hearts, and our next visit simply can’t come soon enough!

The Floridianna Hotel is very well located on the southern side of the Isle of Capri, about ten minutes stroll to the town square. The area around the hotel is full of classy shops, good restaurants, cafés and bars. We had a large comfortable room with plenty of chairs to relax in and enjoy the view. There was also a balcony with table and chairs and two sun loungers. The balcony over looked the pool. The breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked food and a good buffet. It was an easy and pleasant walk to some of the places of natural beauty. A Funicular railway allowed people to reach the main harbour. The most outstanding thing about this hotel was the enthusiastic staff who were keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. There were one or two little maintenance issues we reported and these were fixed while we were having breakfast, really impressive.

We were in the hotel in April 2003, just before the main holiday season. All of the surrounding hotels, restaurants and shops were being refurbished with maintenance work was going on everywhere. So the hotel were also getting their place ready for the main tourist season. Consequently the pool was out of action and there was painting going on outside. Once this work has all been completed, this will be an excellent hotel to stay in. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful hotel with great views of the sea. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable - very responsive and friendly. I really like that they communicated / confirmed things via WhatsApp. They made a reservation for us at a local restaurant that they recommended (excellent food) and confirmed with us via WhatsApp. I was a bit concerned that it would be 'off the beaten path' with regard to location, but the location is perfect. It's a very short walk to the main shopping district and, in fact, I was glad that it was a little set off from the crowded shopping streets. It's a gorgeous hotel with amazing service - I highly recommend it!

We had the best time in this hotel. Everything about it was amazing. You are welcomed with a drink of your choice at the terrace and are given lots of useful information for Capri island. They do anything to check you in early, which they did for us. We went there beginning of May so not in high season and we were upgraded to one of their deluxe rooms with a jacuzzi on the terrace (we booked a normal double room). It was my birthday on the next day and they surprised me with a cake with a candle, 2 glasses of prosecco and the whole stuff came to sing. It was such a nice gesture and we didn't tell them about it, so they are very attentive. The breakfast is just amazing. You have a menu that you choose from and you can get anything you want from the menu - there is savoury things like eggs benedict, avo toast, etc., sweets like waffles, french toast and you are free to have a few meals. There are freshly squeezed juices as well and a choice of different coffees. On top of this there is a continental breakfast area as well with yoghurts, nuts, cereal, fruit, etc. etc. The location is very good as it has a lovely view, it's close to the piazzeta, the famous shopping street, the funicular, bus stop, etc. You can walk up and down to the marina as well in 15-20 min. One advice from me would be - if you like me don't mind walking, don't be tempted by the fact it's only 18 min walk to the hotel from the marina.. because you'd be walking up a lot of stairs! This is of course not a disadvantage to the hotel. You can take the funicular or the bus up (both at EUR 2.40) which both run from the marina to a very close distance to the hotel. My husband and I stayed one night at La Floridiana in Capri and it was absolute PARADISE. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, we were treated like royalty. We were there in April for just 1 night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Andrea greeted us when we arrived and we were welcomed with complimentary Aperol spritz’s and sandwiches on the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. She sat down with us and gave us a detailed overview of the island and lots of great recommendations - so helpful and kind. She took us up to our room (standard garden view), but because it was low season, the hotel offered us a free upgrade with a balcony and sea view. It was such a nice treat after a couple busy days in Sorrento. Still pretty cold to use the pool, and the staff were working all around us to prepare for high season, but the amenities are beautiful and we would have loved to enjoy them in warmer weather. The room itself was big and bright with a beautiful balcony and a good working air conditioner. The Hotel Floridiana is just far enough away from the busy centre of Capri that it’s a nice escape from the tourists and crowds. We took a taxi up from the port (30 euro) because the line for the funicular was crazy long at the time we arrived. The hotel recommend we use luggage porters from the square to get to the hotel, but it wasn’t necessary (maybe in high season). The walk from the centre to the hotel is dreamlike - passing by storefronts including Dior, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermes, etc. Buffet breakfast included was a really nice touch. Lots of great options for a light Italian breakfast and EXCELLENT service. We seriously cannot say enough about the staff at La Floridiana. We loved it here and would definitely return in high season, April just wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the amenities. Thank you, Andrea!

Nothing - this place is paradise!

The staff were very friendly, they offered us a welcome drink and some food when we arrived they checked us in early and upgraded our room for free and they were so helpful telling us which restaurants to book and giving us advise on what to do while staying in Capri, offering to book trips for us too. The room was lovely and spacious and the pool area was lovely too. Breakfast was great and you can WhatsApp them anytime with anything you need they replied so quickly and were so helpful.

Nothing everything was great!

Everything! from the minute we walked in we were welcomed by the amazing staff, we were given a welcome drink overlooking the lovely pool area. We were given a free upgrade of our room and it was amazing with a sea view. The breakfast had lots to offer for anyone's taste and again the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. The location was near the centre, but quiet enough to relax by the pool when we returned from a busy day. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Everything in this property was absolutely amazing, a five star standard. The staff were so kind and helpful I cannot express enough how nice they were! The room was absolutely lovely. I have stayed in many hotel but have experienced anything like this one before. They make every guest feel so special. The staff are what make the place nice. Even the breakfast was absolutely exceptional.  Everything was so fresh and so tasty.

There was nothing I didn't like everything was perfect

Just got back from a fantastic stay at Floridiana! The staff was so kind and provided excellent service through our stay. Upon arrival, we had an issue with our shower head, I notified the front desk, and when we came back from being out all day, the shower head was replaced with a brand new waterfall shower head and wand. The AC in the room was great, large bathroom but relatively small bedroom area (we don't spend much time in the room anyway so it was really fine). Great balcony area and relatively prime location. Beautiful views, great breakfast, super clean. Would absolutely stay again.
