Maldron Hotel Wexford

I loved the room, the pool, the staff, it was very nice and friendly. I was surprised the hotel is only 3 stars with how charming and nice it was. We got checked in early and the next day we could wait for our bus in the bar where we were looked after well. An absolutely wonderful experience

The only thing I didn't enjoy was the breakfast. There was not enough choice of "cold foods" on the tables which was very underwhelming for the price. It was the first time i saw such breakfast, and having worked in a hotel before I know how many options there can be for people, though this could have been due to the pandemic, if so, I wish I was told about it. I still think the price was far too much for what the breakfast had to offer

The staff were so helpful and professional, friendly and caring. There was good atmosphere there. Evening food in restaurant was nice. And so much to do locally.. Great parking. Nice rooms. Great channels on TV. Very good shower/ bath facilities. Beautiful freshly brewed coffee for breakfast. ( not the stuff that's sitting in a coffee pot for hours and tastes like bitter treacle !)Yes it was a very relaxing stay..

I did not really like the way the breakfast was laid out. It wasn't a bit appealing or inviting .. the food tasted fine but could have been hotter. Not impressed that some of the food items are not covered. No Air conditioning in the rooms.. no shower caps.

very very slow in the bar, waited over half an hour for soup and sandwich, there was only about 5 other people in the bar so it wasn’t busy. then I had to go back up because we never got our drinks, then the girl never gave me spoon for the soup, the head lady was absolutely lovely but more staff needed

Staff were friendly, nice swimming pool, decent playground and plenty of parking.

The breakfast was just average. Didn't think it was worth 16.50 euro per adult to be honest. The prices were high in the bar and the nice patio area to relax and unwind was infested with wasps. Location could have been better. There is a bus outside the hotel but it only goes until 6pm. A shuttle bus to and from the town maybe 4 or 5 times a day would be great especially in the evening. Mini golf course was in terrible condition and needs to be replaced with a new course.

Very family friendly hotel with really friendly staff on reception who really go out of their way to help. The bar menu in the evenings has a good selection for adults and kids. Our daughter loved the pizza and the waiters are really accommodating for her with toppings and drinks. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was delicious. We ate steak, pasta, chicken and beef burger. The starter chicken wings were tasty!! We were at the hotel for Halloween bank holiday weekend and staff were dressed up which the kids loved. There is a great selection at breakfast with everything you would want. We stayed in a family room near reception and the room was spotless with plenty of towels and extra pillows.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but found the table service in the bar a little chaotic at times. There were clearly some staff on training while we were there and they were trying their best but I found the male manager abrupt with training staff on Saturday evening. It was busy with most tables full but he had little patience, he was rude and the atmosphere was uncomfortable at times. Breakfast was delicious but there were only two servers trying to clear tables and serve customers.

the only thing I commented on was the fact you couldn’t see the reception staff behind the computers, I was a reception manager myself for many years and found that the staff need to be able to see the whole of reception, I could of easily bought in extra people and you wouldn’t of know, how do you reception staff keep and eye on what’s going on around them when they can’t see?

As convenient hotels by a major road junction go, it was surprisingly good in several ways. The bar was lively yet our room was quiet enough to leave a window open all night. The family-friendly extras - leisure pool, two play areas, courtyard garden, lawns to play on - would be great for any family with kids, though ours are too old now for all of those except the first. Staff were very helpful, and minor mistakes at dinner were put right without our having to complain. Handy for Rosslare early ferry. Would stay again.

A few minor aspects are a little faded or tatty here and there, e.g. corridor carpets, but generally it's of a high standard. I found the bedding and room too warm for the time of year, but didn't ask for an alternative (none had been left in the rooms themselves).

I loved everything there. The rooms were just as we wanted. The time spent in swimming pool, jacuzzi and Sauna was excellent, has a lot of fun there. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent as well. Will definitely come back again and will recommend this to everyone as well. Thank you.

I did not like the caps that they provided for the swimming pool. It was not water proof at all. Just a cloth cap...not the rubber one. The actual swimming cap is so different than what they provided. Very disappointed by the cap thing. Could have been much better. Rest everything was perfect.

Very good mattresses in the family rooms. We had 2 small kids and just one travel cot with us, but managed to have a toddler with us in bed and it was roomy enough for everyone. Very nice blackout curtains also worth mentioning (especially if you are traveling with small children). Nice staff. Very welcoming Several playgrounds on the property land The food was good and they serve quite nice burgers at the restaurant
