Ktdc Tea County Resort

1. It was a visually appealing property. Very well kept and maintained. The flora and fauna added to the appeal as one would wake up to melodious chirping of birds. 2. The staff were kind and sweet to speak to. 3. The central location of the property helped as we were able to cover most scenic spots as well as local markets Overall it was a good experience

1. For buffet meals, the staff had to be constantly reminded to refill the food. We’d have to wait for > 15 mins at times for some food item to be made available. But the staff was kind enough to make it reach your table directly. 2. We had a flight delay and requested the staff to allow us a late check out. However the staff did not agree to it, despite the property being reasonably vacant.

Great location in middle of Munnar but surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our rooms were spacious, well maintained and overlooked the tea plantations. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant offered a good choice of food both at breakfast and dinner.

The beer parlour only offered beer and wine. A couple of members of our party only drink spirits so it would have been nice if a wider choice was offered and they could have joined us when we had a drink in the evenings.

An impressive hotel which we were pleased to find actually served alcohol 🍺 Pleasant, well appointed and good sized rooms. A good restaurant albeit they served a buffet both evenings and the one lunchtime we were there, and we had to ‘push’ a little to be allowed to order from menu.

Nothing except an early indication from the staff that we couldn’t order from a menu and would need to choose from the fixed price buffet. We did challenge and all was ok in the end

Good service, helpful staff, great location, rooms are clean, delicious and quality breakfast. Hot water available in bathroom always which is important in a cold place like Munnar.

These are not complaints, but suggestions. The parking lot can be little near to the lobby or cottages, it's too far especially when it rains. They could have included more English breakfast items, as most of the servings are South Indian dishes, which is of super quality and delicious. Little expensive compared to other hotels.

The location !

The room was infact wet due to the moist. It’s kind of watery on the floor. Also, though the food what is served was good in taste it is sort of monotonous. Most of the food what is served was a typical Malayali food by and large. It could have been bit more tourist friendly with more varieties with fusion taste. It can also consider to provide orthodox Kerala dishes as desert which would give other state tourist to know more about Kerala traditional specialities.

The hotel staff and the food was amazing good. No doubt about the hotel ambience... It perfect place to stay with family. Any occasions can be celebrated here. If yoy dont have anything to celebrate even then this Tea County will make you feel special.

Nothing is there to mention... I will remember this place forever in my life. I will come back again to see Kurinji in 2030 hopefully 😊

We reached Munnar when Kerala govt had announced a Sunday lockdown, and we thought our day would be in vain. But then Tea County happened to us as a blessing. The courteous staff was well trained and fully followed Covid protocols. Even with the restrictions around, our stay was super comfortable. The property itself is very huge and is covered with amazing flora. Our rooms were clean and sanitized. They have a range of indoor games like billiards, table tennis and carrom which is very well maintained. The in-house restaurant is amazing, and the food is exceptional. The chef even cooked us a meal outside the menu on discussion. The entire support staff right from the security, front desk, restaurant, room service, bell boy are attentive and friendly. Our rooms had balcony facing the city, which was right out of a painting. The location is great too, as it is just 10 mins walk from the city centre. Most of the sightseeing spots are comfortably reachable by road transport. Since the property is huge, there is a little walk involved to reach the reception and restaurant, but when you are walking through nature's bounty, one might not complain.

We had booked this resort just for a night with the preconceived notion that service and facilities would be subpar because it is government run. But contrary to that we were bowled over with the exceptional courtesy of staff, the sprawling campus and very private rooms.

The room be occupied looked a bit old. That was all

Excellent breakfast, no repetition of breakfast items. Location and cleanliness was exceptional and add to it the weather of Munnar was quite cozy.

Room location that was far and not easy accessible. Next time we will keep in mind while selecting room/s.

Excellent stay at the resort! Beautiful location, safe and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The team went above and beyond to assist with all requests, no matter how big or small. They even accommodated a candlelight dinner inclusive of food and allowed us to use the resort for a private photoshoot.

Slightly expensive but well worth it, in my opinion.
