beautiful hotel, excellent staff, roof top pool was amazing, free airport transfer

No food available except fancy dinners. We wanted lunch and had to go elsewhere, then would have liked some snacks in the evening but not as much as the dinner menu. This was the only down side to a fantastic hotel.

This is a lovely hotel, clean, comfortable and convenient to the airport, and the all members of staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are very very pleasantly decorated.The rooftop hot tub is gorgeous and is a great way to soak out the stresses and strains of travel, and both times I've stayed here it was a really lively and entertaining social hub. The free airport shuttle is very welcome as well.

Even by Iceland standards, this hotel is very expensive. At €338 a night, I made the mistake of assuming it included breakfast. But no, it was off to the airport with me on an empty stomach!

we were here just as a stopover before flying home the next day, the hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. the shower was brilliant, rooms were warm and the staff attentive. dinner was good in the hotel as was breakfast although I felt perhaps the breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was available. we unfortunately did not experience the spa pool as we got there late and were so tired, but it looked great from the peek we took at it! the hotel do free transfer back to airport which was a nice gesture.

Been refurbished since last we went. It is a great place. People were so helpful and accommodating. Rooms were warm but could be made cooler if required. Restaurant food and service was well above what was expected go far as to say excellent. Nothing seemed to difficult for them to help us with. Great mix of nationalities accommodated.

Could have made the outdoor hot tub/pool more available to all in restricting the length of time that you ere allowed to stay in. Found at night it got occupied from about 9.00pm until it was closed by the same group of people.

We liked the ease of getting to the hotel, our campervan company dropped us there and the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport was also an important extra to us. The room was spotless and just lovely with great products - wish we could have purchased some of the products at the hotel! The breakfast was divine, with great choice. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. The outdoor hot pool was just amazing and we were so fortunate to be able to view the Northern Lights from the lovely pool!

Beautiful small boutique hotel only 6 minutes away from the airport. Slightly higher cost than the hotels right next to the airport, but worth it. Very cozy beds, wonderful Scandinavian breakfast, and the hot pool on the roof make this a good option for a layover hotel or as a place to start and end your journey in Iceland. The hotel staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. Hotel staff will also drive you to the airport when you are ready to return to the airport, free of charge. Note: you will need to catch a taxi or rental car to travel to the hotel after arriving at KEF, but I found that to be as easy as walking out to the taxi pool and getting a ride.

Everything was perfect

This was our fifth stay here, and it was fantastic as always. The staff here, especially Ruth (I hope I'm spelling it correctly), are so friendly, helpful, and interesting to chat with. The location, just a little bit outside of the center of town, is perfect; quiet, yet still easy to get to. The beds are so comfortable and the showers are hot with great water pressure. We love the heated rooftop pool, and the front desk offers drinks for sale even after everything in town has closed for the night. We will absolutely be coming back again next year!

The room rates have gone up significantly since we first started staying here in 2018, so that's a bummer.

Very nice property overlooking the small marina of Keflavik. It is ideal to stay here if you have an early-morning flight from Keflavik Airport, as it is located only about a 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are very comfy, clean and beautifully designed. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport as well as a small take-away breakfast if you need to leave very early for your flight. We highly recommend Hotel Berg.

An electric kettle in the room would have been really nice, especially when you need to get up very early to get to the airport (they do however offer free coffee and tea in the hotel's dining room).

Perfect location to the airport, very easy to find. There was no water our first morning because the pipes were frozen, but the staff was very accommodating and invited us to use another room that had water. We were extremely impressed with the very, very helpful staff. Upon a very early arrival we were allowed into our room to sleep. The common area has the most lovely fireplace for an evening wind-down after coming in from the cold. The views out of the rooms were breathtaking. Overall, very comfortable.

Our family room for four people was quite small. The pool pictured in the photos was completely demolished for renovation, which was disappointing for the children.

This a lovely, clean and crisp accommodation, with very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived frazzled and frantic after a long drive in exceptionally bad weather and felt better within seconds of walking into the foyer. It's a lovely location, very convenient to the airport and for spotting the Northern Lights. Don't forget to check out the hot-tub on the roof - it saved my life! My room was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated in subdued tones. Many thanks also for the lovely packed breakfast to take the sting out of the early taxi drive to the airport - which the hotel both booked and paid for! An excellent service. This hotel is an ideal place to spend the last few days before flying out of this spectacular country.

My only regret is that I didn't have longer to stay here.
