Platan Hotel

Location is great, if you don't care about the city center. But the center is easily approachable by local buses. I even walked to the airport terminal in 20 minutes. I strongly recommend to do this only if you've got just a backpack. The size of my room was amazing! It had a huge double bed, a sofa bed, a refrigerator, a desk with chairs, cabinets and a bathroom with a huge bath tub. Big advantage compared to other new design hotels that you actually can open the windows fully in order to get fresh air inside - loved that!! The staff in the breakfast area is nice, but sometimes they don't really realize that some food or cutlery is missing, etc but as soon as I asked for something they were happy to help immediately.

Nothing... everything was great!

Only had a quick stop here for one night after flying into Debrecen but had a pretty good stay. Probably less than a 5 minute drive from the airport. We checked in at 3.20am due to a flight delay but there was a lovely guy waiting for us at reception. It’s very basic but has everything you need for a quick stop. We didn’t have breakfast as we didn’t have time but from what I saw of it, it looked really nice and there seemed to be a good voice of different things.

Beds weren’t the comfiest but I was so tired I fell asleep pretty quickly. I think if I hadn’t been so tired I may have struggled but for the price I paid I can’t really complain.

This was a decent hotel in the close proximity to the airport. We have arrived there in the afternoon and checked out at 4 am. There was a play ground just near the premises, the lady at the reception was kind to arrange crib for our 14 months old baby. There was a supermarkets just around the corner. We had a lovely dinner and the service was good and friendly. The room was clean.

The place of course is not very modern but it good value for money and very close to the airport. Just what we needed.

We spent a week in Debrecen. As we were by car we did not mind to be a bit away from the center -- which was 10-15 min only, especially as this hotel had also a free parking lot. The hotel is very pleasant, good price for value. The staff is helpful and nice, and we actually were positively surprised by the quality of the breakfast and the selection and quality of the dinner we had there.

The hotel somehow put 4 stars, I think it is more between 3 and 4 -- many of the services are on 4 stars, but the outfit of the rooms is more 3 stars. We did not ask for daily cleaning, but I think the trash should still be checked every day. I have asked for trash removal and it was done right away.

It is the closest hotel to the airport, about 1.5 miles, walkable although part of it on grass (not with luggage), taxi was 3000 forint (£6) at night and 2000 forint daytie. it is also walkable to train station, perhaps the same distance, took me about 30 minutes or so. the bus stops nearby as well (goes to the airport and train station). It is a full service good solid three star hotel, full cooked breakfast, 24 hour reception, nice people. i could see it is pet friendly.

I think the room was a bit dated, in that the soap tray detached from the wall and water from the shower was everywhere, generally bathroom could use some touch. four starts, superb cuisine and updated facilities it is not, but it is certainly way more than you get in these parts / around the airport

Nice 3-star hotel, good for a short stay in the city. Continental breakfast was good, as expected. Finnish sauna is availible upon request from 9, I used it twice. Parking is possible. SPAR and TESCO in a walking distance.

The air conditioning in the room had only one level (on/off). Location is not optimal, quite far from the center. If you are not with car, bus rides can take you from/to the center.

The room was big and clean. They were kind enough to provide a baby cot. The room had a big, nice terrace and huge windows. The breakfast was ok. Tesco and another big store are within walking distance. Very easy and fast to reach downtown. Private parking with no extra cost.

No plugs near the bed to charge the phones. You had to unplug the light fixtures. A little hard to enter/exit the shower since the toilet is just in front.

Hotel close to the airport ' 2/5 km. No problem getting service at 04.00 AM to get to the airport. Spacious rooms , comfortable beds , good staffs . A hotel in a quiet neighborhood day and night. A restaurant with a good breakfast and the possibility to eat varied meals until 20:00 P,M,

There is no air conditioning and a very small refrigerator.

I stayed three nights previous before taking a flight, so I already knew it was a good place. Again, friendly staff, good clean room and this time I managed to try the restaurant and was not disappointed. There was no extra cost for leaving my vehicle while away and overall, excellent value for money. I'm surprised ratings are not higher based on my two stays and I hope to return soon.

No negatives.... No complaints....

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. There was alot of space to store our luggage. Breakfast was delicious. I was grateful for the highchair for my baby in the dining area. If I return to Debrecen, then I would definitely stay here again.

The TV channels' signal was not always strong.
