The location was perfect, close to all of the historic Nafplio area but not in the middle of too much bustle. The staff were so so helpful, staying late to accommodate our late arrival, easy to chat up about local customs, places to eat, the dilemmas and joys of living in Greece. The breakfasts were amazing and saved us time and money as we planned our days.

Hmmm…not much to say here. The room was a bit minimalist in that there was no place to store clothing, so we were literally living out of our suitcases. However, the bedding was wonderful, the bathroom was chic, and the balcony was lovely. There were supplies provided for coffee and tea and a wine opener….and the amazing shops and restaurants of Nafplio were right outside our door!

Excellent location near the bustle of the Old Town with awesome views of Aegean Sea and short stroll to bay restaurants and pebble beach club BluBlanc. All staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast variety abundantly delicious and homemade to boot. The citrus yoghurt is beyond delicious! Decor is exceptionally elegant and the stonework and sheer height of ceilings and attention to detail is impressive. Supply guests with superb soap and shampoo and the sweet aroma of cleanliness lingers. Seriously excellent value for money. Look nowhere else. This place is unique, enchanting and stylish within a stones throw to the endless stream of alleyways lined with elegant boutiques and a plethora of choices to wine dine and people watch.

We would have stayed longer than 3 nights

Location outstanding. Breakfast was lovely - fresh squeezed OJ a highlight. The staff were lovely - one in particular who very graciously arranged train tickets etc for us for our day trip on the scenic railway and facilitated a late checkout for us at no extra cost. Rooms very modern in an old, beautiful building.

We were on the top floor which was warmer than the other floors. In the high temperatures this summer, the air conditioner struggled a little to cool the size of the room. There did turn out to be an issue that was addressed the next day.

The location in the old city was great! 3 of our 4 rooms had sea views. The breakfast was fantastic - freshly cooked eggs and orange juice squeezed right in front of us! The Greek pastries were delicious, too! The architectural detail of some of the rooms was awesome: a mix of exposed old stone and modern plaster that was intentional and tastefully done. The entire front desk was super helpful, even coordinating a ride from Athens airport for friends who misconnected on the way here.

Parking was a small challenge, but there is a public parking lot a hundred meters away. This is a problem for any property in the old city.

Overall excellent stay -No elevator (as advertised) -Car parking is an issue -TV location not ideal for watching (too high, too far) -No bed-side ‘reading’ lamps: there are bed-side lights, but not suitable for reading while on bed -Almost black out blinds in place (which is great), however no other ‘light, non see through’ curtains: this is slightly inconvenient, as no privacy maintained. Should you wished to change etc, you had to have the curtains closed and be in the dark. This applied in main room & bathroom.

We loved the attention to detail, the fine design, the intersection of old and new, and the thoughtful way the whole hotel had been conceived and executed. The staff were very lovely, helpful and attentive. We stayed in the junior suite, and loved the grand generosity of the room, the views from the windows, and sitting on the balcony drinking coffee. So good! The bed linen was excellent quality, as were the towels. The bed itself was very comfortable. We could have spent hours just hanging out in the room, enjoying being there. Marvellous! θαυμάσιο! Oh, and the breakfast was magnificent, and made with love.

What’s not to like? It was all excellent!

The location is great - almost water front and very close to the city centre with a couple of free parking spots around the house. Staff was very kind and polite. Breakfast was great! The building itself is quite interesting - old with very high ceilings… definitely gives you a unique experience.

It can be a bit noisy if you don’t close your windows so if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to consider a room that’s not overlooking the stairs on the side of the building.

Impero Nafplio hotel is very well located in the old part of town with stunning views of the promenade and harbour. To the left is a handy free car park and below that a lilo for swimming lengths and open to the sea beyond. To the right is the beautiful town with its delightful myriad of streets where abundance of different small shops and excellent restaurants. On the promenade with its views we visited everyday to get the Greek version of an americano. Our accomodation was faultless, excellent breakfasts and great recommendation from Diana as to where to eat. We went to 1986 on 3 days out of our 4 night stay for our evening meal. We leave Nafplio in the hope we will return as the people are so helpful and friendly.

On two days the temperature rose to 35°C and a little too hot for two Irish travellers

PERFECT! Great location, close to the water, restaurants, beach. Staff were very hospitable and pleasure to deal with. Breakfast was exactly as should be. light, tasty and get you ready for the day. The hotel/building itself was a amazing stone building, high ceilings. Really clean and had a very nice feel to it. The décor and furnishing of hotel and rooms set a nice relaxing atmosphere and ambience you usually would yet with a much higher end hotel, so for the price was a nice surprise and big bonus. There was a nice communal balcony which overlooks the marina area to sit and watch sunrise and sunsets and your leisure, for the smaller rooms with no balcony. Nice little wine bar right next door for drinks. Thank you Diana and staff, you made it a enjoyable and relaxing couple of days in a beautiful part of the world Ioannis

Our room was lovely, with a great balcony. Perfect for a family of 3 but it worked with an extra camp bed for the 4 of us. Location was excellent, staff friendly and property was clean and quiet.

The breakfast looked amazing but we came down for the last half hour of the two hours breakfast and quite a bit of the stuff had run out and wasn't replaced, even when requested. The food and juice we did have was excellent!
