Perfect stay, best hotel I have stayed in, ever. Excellent breakfast!!! staff was polite and helpful. Clean and well located hotel. Spot on hotel facilities, súper confiable, all details were thought about.

Curtains in the room were not properly black out, light came in around 6-7 am, so woke up early every day.

Location and view from our window over the harbour was beautiful. Staff was very helpful. The room was small but well designed and interior decor was superior.

We were on the second floor and the room was very noisy until late hours. Hard to sleep. They advertised that there was no parking onsite, but what they didn't specify is that the hotel is in a pedestrian only area and you can't even pull up to drop off luggage. It was extremely difficult to find parking in the area indicated. We got lucky after circling for a while. Fortunately, we only had carry on luggage and it was fine to walk to the hotel once we parked. For us it was worth it, but better to be forewarned.

Downstairs restaurant extremely bad ( same owners as the hotel) restaurant zepos - angry rude staff who expected that we would be happy to eat a meal with rotten slimy lettuce that would induce nausea and vomiting- we were given an explanation that the "lettuce came from Athens and when you cut lettuce it becomes brown like an apple" how such contaminated produce could come from the kitchen to b served to customers is disturbing

This location in the Old Venetian Port could not be better for someone wanting to experience Chania's historical sites, explore the town within the walls, or sample the night life. That said, the property was quiet, even on the veranda, and I was able to get the rest I wanted. The structure pays homage to its history and setting (you can read the blurb about each room's namesake from the Venetian rule), yet the rooms themselves have contemporary fixtures and finishes (flooring, shower, lighting.) I appreciated the energy-saving measures like keycard-controlled lights, AC shutoff if windows are open, and opt-in laundering of towels. The staff were very helpful and are well connected with adjacent hospitality/tourism businesses like car rentals.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect. We had beautiful view of the harbour from our room. Everything was very clean with attention to details. The staff was super friendly and helpful, always available. We had really good time, will be happy to be back. Thank you!

Our room was facing the harbour which was great beacuse of the view, but the hotel is located above a restaurant and a bar with loud music at night. Having said that, the windows are noise proof and did a good job blocking the the noise, but you might still hear the music (until 1 am). Also, breakfast was good but more vegan options would be great.

It's an excellent location if you want to walk the harbor and the old town of Chania. The area is very picturesque and there are several museums in the area. Shopping and many restaurants are just right outside the hotel. We had a fantastic room overlooking the old harbor and although it was noisy at night, closing the window and the blackout blinds did the trick. We slept very well and I am a light sleeper. Breakfast is far above the normal buffet food, this is immediately apparent when a staffer hands you an actual menu. And the pastry/bread tray the server brings for your table is loaded with fresh croissants, bread, smoothies, and orange juice. The front staff was very helpful in getting us a car for one day, and an excursion to Elafonisi beach. Outstanding all around.

Really there was nothing to dislike about Domus Renier.

The bed was fabulously comfortable and they had appropriate blankets on the bed for summer making it so much easier to sleep in the hot weather. Air conditioning ran really well in house. Breakfast is fabulous. But the breakfast boxes need some review.

We went on early-morning tours and they do not start breakfast until 8:30 am, so we were unable to get a meal before leaving. They did give us breakfast boxes but they didn’t really have breakfast food in them.

A fantastic location, lovely service and a very high quality hotel that is understated. The room was of a high standard, with a wonderful shower and beautiful view.

If I was being picky the room is a little small (but big enough to store all of our travel bits and pieces) but the view and location more than compensates. The breakfast was lovely but becomes just a little limited if you're staying over a few days (maybe rotate the menu with some 'specials'?)

I have traveled and been to many hotels in my life, but in such an amazing hotel in terms of quality, service, location and food - I have never been! This is a perfect hotel! And I'm not exaggerating! The warm welcome, the special breakfast requests that were answered with a wide smile, the amazing breakfast! The recommendations for trips and itineraries, the cleanliness, the new and beautiful room, - generous and a lot of help during the checkout - including weighing the luggage! Amazing location! Everything is a short walk away! Truly a perfect hotel !! highly recommend!

We arrived at the Domus Reiner as first time visitors to Crete. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the Old Town of Chania. The view of the harbour and beyond is exceptional. A 5/10 minute walk takes you to a rocky area for swimming/snorkelling. It is actually the staff in the hotel and in the adjacent restaurant, Zepos, who make this place special. Nothing is too much trouble. We very much look forward to a return visit.
