Hotel Melchior Park

Hotel is very nice. Didnt have time to use the pool or spa facilities as only a quick weekend to see the town of Wurzburg. Reception staff excellent and resolved our parties idiosyncracies very well. (2 couples one booked from UK one booked from Germany, arriving together) Even sorted 2 adjacent rooms

Location is a bit "out of town" 15 minute bus trip. Bus stop is within 50 meters of the hotel entrance though. Our travelling companions (booking in Germany) had received a bed and breakfast plan. I hadn't noticed that my booking didnt have a breakfast included. Admitted my mistake! The breakfast charge of 19 Euro per person per day adding euro 76 to the final bill was, I feel a bit steep. On other hotel stays where I have paid extra for breakfast it has been around 9 - 12 euro.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Rooms are well laid out as are the modern timelessly styled bathrooms. Parking is reasonably priced with more than adequate parking space which also includes large, well lit underground parking garage. The restaurant offers a limited but well selected menu and we were pleased with what we were served. The breakfast buffet matches the other excellent attributes of this hotel. This hotel is pet friendly, quiet and located on a park with almost unlimited adjacent parkland which will be attractive to hikers, cyclists and joggers alike. In spite of the quiet location, we could drive to practically any point in Würzburg in well under 15 minutes.

After a number of stays, we are somewhat annoyed by the fact that housekeeping has entered the room in spite of the do not disturb sign and us responding to their knocking on the door on more than one occasion.

- The personnel at the reception desk was very kind and helpful - Breakfast was rather not cheap but worth the price with a different variety of food and good quality coffee - Bed and bathroom were comfortable, and bath cosmetics were based on natural products and refreshing - It Is Possible to open the window - When closed windows protect from the outside noise - A nice recreational area with bike routes and vineyards nearby - Close to the supermarket and shopping mall

- Air condition was loud and it was a little stuffy but fortunately, it was possible to switch it off as I am a little allergic to aircon it was important for me. - very tiny but still dirt stains in the shower - room located just above the lobby garden where people were loud till midnight until the bar is closed (this was only the problem with the open window). Fortunately, the windows protect from outside noise when closed.

I was surprised to be charged 12 euro per day to park in a 4 star hotel. the hotel is on a hill out of the city so space is not at a premium so why charge residents- if I’d have known I’d have parked on the streets opposite free of charge. breakfast was good but way overpriced at 19 euro each. the extras of parking and breakfast add up and meant a significant jump in the bill. customer service was great, the hotel was modern and had great facilities but it seemed like the whole ethos was to squeeze as much money out of you as possible.

As I could not reach my final destination, I made a stop at this hotel. I booked it one hour before arrival. Thanks to the navigation in my car, I found the hotel without problem. It's situated in residential area. Very quiet room with very good blackout thanks to the window blinds. The parking offers enough places.

Breakfast was not included in the price. I did't see the option to book it directly nor information about the price. May be I overlooked it.

Excellent location on edge of city with very good access to Wurzburg centre by bus. Modern, well-equipped hotel with excellent pool and spa facilities. Good-sized room, quiet and very clean. Hotel is situated next to a large open green space leading to an interesting new housing development, an example to others!

Prices in the restaurant a bit high and breakfast and parking - very safe - not included in room price.

Spa is wonderful; great little pool and deck overlooking the garden - so relaxing! Location is great if travelling with a dog and by car; lots of walking and green areas around, and all just 5 min drive to the city centre. Hotel is very dog friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was ok and the waiters were professional and kind.

The staff can be a little slow (calls form the rooms are barely ever answered and requests like seeing a preview of the bill took a long time and were printed incorrectly). Breakfast food was cold, not really worth the price so we opted for city centre bars the second morning which was lovely.

EXCEPTIONAL Breakfast - yes it's EUR 16.95 per Person - well worth the money. They catered to my glutenfree needs and served glutenfree muesli. Vegetarian AntiPasti with eggplant, zuccini and bell pepper, huge selection of cheeses, meats, fish, muesli section and bread from the bakery Köhlers, is a wellknown bio bakery. Super personell & team on site. We had a super short and yet wonderful stay & will be back soon. There is Sauna, Pool & Fitness Room facilities on sight.

The pool was too full for me given the Covid Regulations and should be clearly marked how many people from one household can be in the pool at one time.

A hotel with a modern look, located in peaceful and serene place. Very spacious and an excellent decor of rooms, A magnificent ambience of restaurant with ultra caring staff.

Breakfast was too basic & that too at an exorbitant price of 19 Euro. If hotel management feels 19 Euro is the justifiable price, then they should improve breakfast quality & spread of breakfast.

Staff (reception) is very friendly & polite. Location is close to green zone/park where kids can play. Nice SPA zone with variety of sauna Wide choice at breakfast

Small number of sunbeds in SPA zone, but you don't spend a lot of time there anyway. Waiting time in the restaurant in evening was a bit more than expected
