Hotel Aulmann

It was a good breakfast and great location with a friendly staff and clean rooms - loved the big towel warmers.

The windows need updating - it was very loud the Saturday night I stayed but quiet Sunday and Monday; fortunately I travel with earplugs. I'd still stay again.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was magic because it was very hot when we were there.

Loads of stairs if you are staying in the 400s. The parking downstairs was so tight and we were driving our new car. It was all a bit tense. The rather strange art work - Miss Piggy?

A perfect motel stopover only 5 mins from the motorway, check-in was simple. The room was immaculate and the bed was super comfortable. Perfect place if you have an E-Car as there were many chargers in the car park. We drove to the local town and had a nice meal in a local hotel at a very good price. All in all this motel is perfect as a stopover. In the morning we paid 8€ for breakfast which was a great price for the large selection of pastries, bread, cereal and yogurts etc. The host was a man (forgot his name) he spoke good English and was super polite and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Nothing to dislike!

The hotel is is in a fantastic location just a couple of minutes walk from Trier's main square. The staff at reception were super friendly, the room was basic but extremely clean, the beds were comfortable and the location is very quiet. I'd definitely stay there again.

My travelling companion had a sore leg and the lift didn't go to our floor so she had to walk up the stairs. It wasn't an issue as it was only a sore leg but anyone with a disability might have struggled.

The hotel is located right in the middle of things and the heart of the city, which is very handy for those interested in doing sights and perhaps a bit of high street shopping. The building itself is modern enough and looks spacious and sunny. Strong point: Hotel Aulmann is BIG on Frog Design, with frogs of all shapes and sizes all over the place. This results in a somewhat fairy-tale-like feel about the place! Regarding breakfasts: they have an excellent self-service coffee machine that provides very good black/white options.

There is a small bar place directly opposite, so if you want to sleep with the windows open, it’s going to be a bit noisy until around midnight (but, it is to be presumed, only in this particular section of the hotel facing this particular side street).

Trier Hotel Aulmann Altstadt. Walking distance of Roman bridge, Christmas Margaret, cathedral, basilica etc. La Negra. Spacious, clean room. Nice firm beds. On 2nd & 3rd floor, easy parking garage access wit stairs or elevator. We got some good exercise walking up the stairs every day but we could’ve taken the elevator if we wanted to. Good elevator Two heaters, one in bathroom which was nice and one in bedroom. Also he did rack to dry hand wash clothes and towels. Very nice and accommodating staff. Modern Large, firm bed Safe Nespresso coffee maker Good breakfast Parking scary Secure underground parking. ===*++===+++=== centrally located in Trier, very easy to walk out the door into the pedestrian zone shopping area and also walk to the main sites. There was also a nice Christmas market within easy walking distance. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff is very friendly. Our double room was spacious with very comfortable bed and a Nespresso coffee maker plus cream! I also noticed an air conditioner which, in my experience is uncommon in Germany and important in summertime. The room has a safe and the hotel has secure underground parking (for a fee but worth it). There are stairs, but if you don’t want the exercise there is an excellent, fast and modern elevator. The breakfast was also excellent.

Clean modern hotel, good size room, close to main attractions of Trier. Staff were very helpful with an unusual request. Enjoyed staying here at an ok price. (€87) Aircon was great and easy to manage.

Pedestrian street noise in the morning was more than expected ( on the lower level) but would not deter me from revisiting. (price dependant) Reception closes at 8pm until 8am so I was unable to ask a simple question before then. P

Amazing central location on main street of town. Very comfortable room, beds and nice bathroom. Very friendly staff. Had a great adjustable cooling/heating system in the room.

Had initially a bit trouble with the parking and understanding how it worked. Then in the parking garage was initially assigned a space too tight for us and unusual with the “lift” to raise a second level, but then the very friendly staff just assigned us a better parking spot. They reacted very quickly overall.

Air conditioner was very helpful, because it was 35 degrees, which is really hot for this area. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very good value. I will definitely stay here if I return to Trier.

On the 4th floor, ceiling is slanted, so it's not ideal if you're tall. Also, hotel is a long walk from the station. And I was disappointed that breakfast was not offered until 8am because it was a holiday, so I didn't get breakfast. I wish I had known this before booking.
