Maritim Strandhotel Travemünde

The personal was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is amazing and the view from the room is unbeatable.

There are three elevators for all floors and only one elevator to the spa/parking garage. Two of the three elevators during our stay were having slight malfunctions (doors shutting two to three times before the elevator actually begins moving). This caused quite the chaos during breakfast and checkout hours. The elevator to the parking garage is very narrow and may be difficult for larger mobility aids.

I loved that there was a solution given about my room in two minutes and that the solution was an upgrade of what I was supposed to have. Made me warm inside. My dog and I were very happy, I was not aware we'd get greeted so openly and that there'd be necessities offered for the doggos too. The coffee was the best of the best! I've never felt the need to drink coffee till I tasted this one. Can't get over how good it was, would love to know its origins!

Pretty hotel, with a vintage charm and excellent beach views from the rooms. The afternoon staff that welcomed us was super friendly. The breakfast is amazing and has great vegan options. Pool is nice, but cold. There’s a sauna and also extra spa services.

The WiFi isn’t stable, what’s not so good if you need to work. The pillows weren’t comfortable for me with neck problems.

Seaside location with view of beach. Good sized room. No problem with late check-in.

Slow lifts. Wifi system had been changed but this change was not notified in the room, only at reception, so I had to go back down and ask. Chaotic breakfast with some surprises (who has even heard of a butter dispenser?), but that is normal for a large, busy hotel.

The breakfast was exceptional. All rooms and facilities were very clean. Views from the corner rooms were were nice, also a spacey room with a comfortable desk and chairs. Room service and all staff altogether were also really friendly and helpful. Smallish but nice swimming pool and fitness area. In a lot of places great atmosphere and vintage remembrance to the glorious days of the old republic.

The WiFi reception was pretty much non existent within our room, information on the hotel info system (smart TV) was largely outdated by months or not helpful at all. Better just call the front desk. Some parts of the room, furniture and bathroom show their age and different priorities of travel comfort in those times. The selection of dinner choices was pretty meek if you wanted to eat vegetarian in the hotel. Also the rooftop restaurant is closed indefinitely.

Great location on the beach and the views.

The temperature of the pool could have been a few degrees higher for a few hours of the day for kids. Room service menu was a bit limited. Having access to the full restaurant menu would have been nice.

A very big hotel located directly on the Travemunde beach. Fitness room, spa and swimming pool. Good breakfast with a nice view over the beach. Large parking space in bottom floors. Very good value for money off-season November 2022.

The building is from the early 70-ies and it shows in some places. Not the most modern standard but not a problem for me.

The hotel location and view is outstanding, close to the beach and also close to the market and the train station, the breakfast was very good, and the staff was so nice, smiling all the time, making a relaxing atmosphere.

every thing was perfect, there was nothing that we did not like about this Hotel.

A superb location for our weekend at the beetle sunshine tour. Great views and we just loved it. We are more used to budget hotels so this was a massive step up for us. Pure luxury.

The Suite with ocean view was fantastic. Very large room with a massive bath and enormous balkong. I definetely recommend booking the suite if you plan on staying here! The shopper bar had excellent food and beer. We arrived with car so it’s nice that they have a big parking house in.
