Das Hotel an der Stadthalle

The hotel was clean and the staff was really friendly. We were leaving the hotel to go out, and the receptionist suggested bringing our bags in the room so that we could walk around more and not rush back before the end of the check-in time. The room was also quiet. The building is just next to the central train and bus station. Takes around 35-40 mins to go to the beach.

Just as a warning, the hotel is in a very residential area, so there's not much around. Plus, all cafes close real early, so keep it in mind

The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly. There was also coffee and tea for us every time we went in or out. The breakfast buffet was very good with a huge variety. The room was very clean and comfortable, and as we arrived and traveled by public transit, the closeness to the train station was a huge plus. Little small touches like gummi bears on the pillow sweetened the deal.

The price was a bit high for the date we stayed and once something ran out at the breakfast buffet, we did not see it replaced. There was no elevator for us and so needed to take the stairs each time instead.

The hotel is placed in a quiet area just nearby Rostock Hbf with a huge parking place where for 5€ you can park for 24h. Easy access from the train station to the North Sea. The Hotel breakfast was great, and the staff are professional.

Hard to circulate the air if someone is smoking on the balcony outside, the entire room will smell as someone smoke inside.

The room was large with a bathroom that looked newly renovated - in fact, except for the pretty worn carpet the whole room looked like it had been newly renovated. Quiet and peaceful, internet worked well. Very comfortable beds. Checked in by a nice, flexible lady. Close to the railway station, which is excellent when travelling by train. (Due to leaving early in the morning we did not try out the breakfast, hence, no comments about that)

It was a non-smoking room but a clear cigarette smell met us when we entered the room... GOOD TO KNOW: A negative corona test or a completed vaccination is mandatory for the stay (this is clearly stated at the hotel's own homepage, but we didn't see any such explicit information about this at the hotel's booking.com presence)

The location is perfect for train travellers, as it is just a few minutes of walking from the Rostock station. The room is also very clean and quiet, with some welcoming ambience notable in the standard hotel room setup.

I did not see any lift in this hotel. Although I did not bother to confirm with the staff, those who are unwilling to climb stairs should better ask for rooms on lower stories when booking.

The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the train station and the tram stop as well. Our room was very clean and comfortable and not least the staff is so friendly and helpful. We loved this place so much. Highly reccommend!

We would have prefer a small fridge in the room, but the staff helped on this problem for us so in the end it was fine! :)

Nice room, clean and practical. Very nice staff, practical check with the key safe, all procedures were smooth. Free coffee at the counter. Next to the main station and the event hall.

the overall hotel facilities were a bit worn out. location is practical if you need to stay next to the main station or next to the event hall, otherwise it's a bit far from the center by foot. A bit overpriced for what it is.

Convenient location near the train station, great rooms, especially those with the balcony. Dreamlike east-german surrounding. Clean and well priced, with helpful staff.

No elevator 😨 It looks like there's a construction going on the side of the building that may become an elevator one day, but for now, moving the bags on the 3rd floor is only for those who travels light.

Close to train station, but in residential quiet area. Stadhalle is next door, 15 min walk to the Old Town.The house is regular blockhouse with separate entrance for the hotel part. Room simple but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

No elevator. I found the price little to high for what the hotel offers. But to be fair, all other hotels in the area were at my term of stay even more expensive.....

The room was big and clean. It had nice natural light and good facilities.

Unfortunately the pillows were not so comfortable and we were not able to sleep well. Also, they left us almost no toilet paper in the bathroom.
