IBB Hotel Passau Sued

Every year since 2006, we come in autumn to visit the city of Passau because we like it very much. I stayed in a comfortable apartment, on the ground floor with an exit to a small terrace with a table and two chairs. It was nice to spend the evening outside in front of the apartment. The staff at the reception was very kind. The breakfast was very good and varied. The meatballs were very good. I liked that there was also watermelon and melon as fresh fruits. The coffee was very good.

The door to the terrace had a strange way to open it...you had to push/press it, then turn a small knob...this was difficult...it didn't have a normal handle...but the person from the reception from the afternoon program (a young man) was very kind and helped us several times with great kindness. We thank him!

Front desk staff friendly. Good grocery store with a short walk has seating areas for eating. Brick oven pizza at Padu, across the street, was very good.

Small room on noisy street, above parking lot with tables for smokers and loud talkers late into the night. Frequent ambulance sirens. Beware of weekday loud road construction. Room: basic: no tea kettle, no fridge, and one plastic glass for two people, stained carpet. Saw bottles of water on housekeeping cart, but wasn’t included in our room. If you want breakfast, book ahead because price is prohibitive onsite. Given quotes of 14-17e pp. Bottom line: would try somewhere else. Note to cyclists: hotel is 2k uphill from the train station.

We liked everything. Location is very quiet but still easily reachable from the city center. The first time we took a taxi which cost 10 EU, there are also several bus lines passing through but we preferred to take a stroll along the river and it took about twenty minutes to be in the center. Our apartment was very clean, with very comfortable beds, big bathroom with a bathtub, outside terrace, electrical kettle, selection of teas and coffe to prepare. Breakfast was absolutely great too. And there is a very nice Italian pizza/pasta restaurant just across the street.

Excellent People.. Everyone is so nice and friendly.. Honestly very good service..Hotel itself is basically great for the price I payed.. Breakfast is Superior.. Fresh everything every day..Great value.. Don't Advertise Souna because there is not one there but I found great sauna world not far away from there..

Comfortable room with sofa and a table is big enough, breakfast was fine and we were able to park our car in the garage to protect it from snow. The location is very good with close access everywhere by foot, when walking isn’t a problem for guests.

The bed was too soft, there was a kettle available but coffee wasn’t provided, just tea. Sometimes it is better to have even a paid option, than not to have it at all.

Very nice rooms - big, full of light. Good breakfasts with variety of dishes. Hotel is outside of crowded city. Couple of convenient parkings for the cars. Area around hotel surrounded by trees and bushes protecting from street's dust/noise.

Small area with couple of tables around entry to hotel. Very close to road intersection. No aircon in the room, but very effective window's shutters (and trees around). 2km from city center.

Huge room or let me say appartment! There were french bad plus sofa and armchair, so it was a great room! Clean comfortable with french windows!

I had to move the armchair to the door, the wifi was not pnetrating threough the steel reinforced concrete walss :).!

The hotel is in a convenient location near the autobahn and close to the Austrian border. We were travelling to Bulgaria so the hotel was perfectly placed for us for the first stop. We got there late but the guy behind the desk was very helpful and spoke perfect English. He made the check in experience pain free for us after the trauma of PCR tests etc. The room had a bath and a shower with fully working hot water. There was also free sparkling water bottles which were very nice and a kettle which was useful as we needed it for our baby’s milk.

The room had twin beds which wasn’t ideal when travelling with a baby but it also had a sofa bed so my partner slept on that with the baby and it was fine. The parking was limited and because we arrived late we had to use the underground car park which is common in hotels on the continent and I’m not sure why they like them as they are cramped and a pain to get into especially with a big car. It was mostly fine though. We stayed here previously and I was sure we parked outside in a large car park but that didn’t seem to be available on this occasion.

We stayed only for a night on our trip through Bavaria. We received a light and big room on the first floor. There was some complimentary coffee and tea in the room and there are also a few free parking spaces outside the hotel.

Hotel is not in a walking distance for the city center and the path to it is quite steep, therefore the use of the car is the best solution. Equipment and furniture is from beginning of '90 and slightly in the need of renovation or refurbishment. The location of it is in-between two busy streets, therefore the sleeping quality, especially in summer, due to the open windows is rather unsatisfactory.
