Novotel Hannover

Very good breakfast and the hotel is well placed, in walking distance from good shopping possibilities and the subway station is right around the corner. Hannover in general surprised us with beautiful houses, many green areas and variety of shopping possibilities. We can also recommend guests to take time to walk the "red line of Hannover" - unique experience.

2 things: A. The doors on the rooms are not at all soundproof and all small noise from the hallway (guests talking, walking, doors closing etc.) can be easily heard into the room. We assume it is mainly because the doors lack thresholds. Could be so easily fixed. B. The hotels Taxi ordering system was chaotic and even after asking reception to order taxi at certain time, they could not do that by name of guest (just pressed some button that ordered taxi to the hotel). Many wanted taxies at same time and this was simply hectic. Never experienced this before at any hotel around the world. Also when we left, we had pre-ordered taxi at 4:20 in the morning but it came late because the reception could not order the taxi for specific time. Strange experience at such a nice hotel.

For a family of 4 we had a great sized room with lovely views. Clean and well structured. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in good shape overall. Appreciate the value for money.

The hotel does not have dedicated parking space. We ranted a car in the city and had to struggle with street parting and finding a spot in the evening. The alternative was quite pricy in a private parking under the hotel that charged us 30EU for 14hours overnight stay.

We travelled with a 6month old baby and were welcomed warmly. Everywhere was enough space and all the equipment (baby chair, baby bed, changing room) was accessible. The free use of sauna and whirlpool was included in the room price and are available from 07.00am until 10pm. Both was very comfortable and clean. The hotel tries to avoid plastic packaging and offers vegan meals. You won’t regret staying there.

Reception staff were not flexible at all. They couldn’t answer whether an extra bed can be provided in the room or not. They didn’t know if the rooms have balcony or not. We were late 1 hour for check-out due to business in the city and they charged us extra for late checkout even though housekeeping wasn’t even on our floor yet. TVs have feature to cast content from phone but it’s not working because Wifi has a captive portal and so TV cannot be connected to Wifi.

Great breakfast though not included. Very decent rooms, large and modern.

The free WIFI was frankly a disgrace - I ended up using my mobile internet instead. How dis is still possible in the year 2023 escapes me. Also the TV had a built-in Chromecast (GREAT) but it wasn't working, didn't get the wifi either...

Great breakfast choices, for everyone! Big room with a nice view, and a bath!

AC was not working and it was a hot night. With windows open and heavy curtains there was no air flow really. But a lovely gentleman from reception got us 3 fans, which made a big difference! Sorry, I do not remember his name!

Breakfast was great. Very large variety of food. You can also order complimentary eggs in form of poached eggs, sunny side up or omelettes.

Staff in the restaurant area during the breakfast seemed to be favouring German-speaking customers. It took a very long while and 3 requests for someone to come over to us, while the person was chatting and laughing with the German speaking customers.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, not only with info and advice, they were fantastically helpful lifting and carrying very heavy equipment into my hire car. All with cheery smiles - brilliant!! The food provided for the conference was excellent.

The bed pillows could have been more firm. The fridge had a fault but it was quickly fixed.

The staff was very very nice and helfull. We asked to add 2 beds to the room, and when we came those bads were already made. We had few request and all got immidate answers. The hotel is in walking distance to the Zoo and there are several good resturants around it.

The parking solution is not so clear on the website description. The parking is very comfortable, but the description is not so. There could be more parking spaces availbe, mainly in the weekends.

Clean and modern. Close enough from the highway. Very nice staff. Superior room with very good size for a family with a toddler and a dog. The baby bed had a good madrass, and a duvet. Yummy continental breakfast. We loved our stay and will come back 😊

The only thing is, Novotel used to have small individual shampoo and conditioner. But there was none this time. Just shower gel / shampoo on the wall. So if you are a girl and you use conditioner, think about taking your own 😉
