Pestana Berlin Tiergarten

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, bar, and wine were great. We liked sitting outside in the morning and in the evening. The location was perfect.

We had an extended stay - more than a week. There was no laundry facility, which would be very convenient for an extended stay. The bathtub was slippery. The doors to go to the outside during breakfast could not be open from the outside - only from the inside. We had to ask the staff or somebody who was sitting close to the door to open it.

The room is spacious with good and comfortable beds, the shower is also well equipped. Everything was very clean and arranged. The breakfast was really great, perfect cooked and served and delicious.

At the first night the bar and restaurant in the lobby were closed, it was rainy to go out side and we stuck without any option for coffee or tea.

shortage of parking space, drain inside the shower cabin and sink were not work properly , during shower a water pool formed inside the cabin. very small pool.

The hotel should have a better selection of food. Also, the hotel needs to improve the bar. We arrived on a Sunday and were told the bar was closed on Sunday and Monday. We really wanted to visit the bar but it was so small and the atmosphere didn't grab our attention to go there.

Heated bathroom floor is a BONUS The pool is a bit small but still good. The sauna was nice. The breakfast was a bit expensive with not a lot of selection but the convince was good. There is a Netto grocery store a 5 minute walk away, google it and buy your drinks and snacks there, it is the best deal in town.

Booking said we would have an upgraded room and our room was NOT an upgraded room. You can see the floor plans posted on the emergency floor plan and our room was a basic room. Do not upgrade as they will say its an upgrade when its not.

The room was big and clean with big windows and a lot of light. The bathroom equipment was very good, the room had a bathtub. The area is calm and very central, so the price is decent for what you get.

Part of the family booked another room and we asked to switch it to one with a bathtub also. The reception told us that it would be ready in a few hours and promised they would keep it for us. We went to the city and when we got back, the shift had changed and the room had been given to someone else. We felt that it's not fair since we were promised the other room. Only after requesting to talk with the manager a couple of times, they found a solution and gave us a better room.

Amazingly comfortable beds and lovely soft bedding. Great pool and sauna. Excellent location. Very efficient bus service right outside hotel straight to key places eg Potsdamerplatz and Alexanderplatz. The hop on an off bus tour also goes past the hotel. If you like running, there is perfect 5km route up to the Brandenburg Gate and back through the park via the Siegesaule Tower. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and a multitude of shops.

Breakfast is extortionately expensive so we did not have it. It’s nice to have breakfast where you are staying but not for €80 for a family of four! Lots of cafes nearby though.

The hotel was very clean, the room was comfortable, It was lovely and quiet. The staff were really nice and helpful. Loved you had to use your key for the lift.The location was a 15 minute walk from restaurants and shops, all on the flat. Public transport was amazing. We got train from airport to zool garten fir €8. Loved the little balcony

The restaurant was only open for breakfast. The swimming pool was closed, and then open again, the spa was open and then closed. Think when one is open the other is closed. The Bathrobe in our room was hard as rocks, and one was all ripped. Would have liked a kettle. Probably a bit on the high price for just a room.

The hotel itself is lovely. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony. The views were excellent. The television let me cast from my laptop. The bed was very wide. We had fluffy dressing gowns to wear down to the sauna and pool. The pool is small but very nice to swim in, and the sauna is a great place to relax. The breakfast was incredibly good. It caters for people who prefer an English style breakfast with eggs and bacon, or a continental breakfast with yoghurt, pasties etc, but I was hoping for a proper German breakfast with some nice bread, meat or smoked salmon, good cheese, and they had that which made me really happy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for the 2 best bus routes in Berlin - the 100 and 200 - which take you through the city and past all the major central places of interest. You're 2 bus stops away from the top of the ku'dam for shopping, a 10 minute walk from the Gay Museum which has a brilliantly curated and internationally significant exhibition just now, and a short bus ride from Potsdamer Platz. I would say there weren't loads of restaurants in close walking distance, but there were a couple. And then Restaurant Bieberbau is a few bus stops away (and a 10 minute walk) on the 187 bus. That's also the bus for the Jewish Museum. It's a great place to stay if you like to be close to a park, but has plenty of things to do.

Honestly I can't think of anything. Any issues we had settling in were resolved very quickly. The room wasn't supplied with a kettle but when I asked, they brought one to my room.
