Best Western Marseille Aeroport

It was very close to the airport and had a shuttle. It also had a restaurant on site, which was very good at dinner.

The breakfast was a buffet and very pricey for what was offered. By the time we got to the buffet (9 am on a Sunday morning) they were out of hot eggs and never replaced them. I can't eat any dairy and don't eat gluten, so because they were out of eggs, it really limited my breakfast selection. On the plus side, they did offer nut milk, which I was very happy to see, along with an assortment of cold cereals, including some rice and oat varieties.

Emergency accommodation due to plane delay - staff super helpful, super comfortable, very clean and fresh and the bed was dreamy and soft! Good breakfast, having it on the pool terrace was very relaxing. It faces the airport so very practical in this situation. But we weren’t bothered by the noises and smells it felt very sheltered.

Finding the place on foot late at night after our plane was cancelled was not easy, no pedestrian access, we were walking on fast dark roads for 10 minutes, it felt unsafe, especially with our 3 kids

Conveniently located just across Terminal 1 of Marseille Airport. It's good if you need a place to stay if you're flight arrives late in the evening and you don't want to have to drive to your final destination in Provence on the same night. The rooms are clean and comfortable; same with the bathroom --- it's what you'd expect from an airport hotel. The breakfast buffet is decent too. They also have a free shuttle between the terminal and the hotel. This is a no-frills hotel that does exactly what it says on the tin.

The room was very attractive for a handicapped person who is in a wheelchair. The handicapped shower area was fabulous. The breakfast and dinner menus offered a variety of foods. The main lobby personnel and the restaurant personnel were very helpful in responding to our questions about the airport and taxi service to the airport, because we could not take their shuttle due to my sister's leg issue. Another advantage of this hotel is that it very near the car rental offices and airport offices and check in areas.

It looks bland and dull on the outside but inside it is a very smart hotel. Good size swimming pool. The restaurant was nice. A small menu, but good quality food. Fitness room was small but clean and with new equipment. Bedroom was smallish but we slept well.

Hotel shuttle did not arrive after calling the hotel and it was not also clear where to pick it up at the Airport. The hotel is in 10-12 minutes walking distance through the car parks with luggage.

The location, relative to the airport, was excellent. The facility is very well kept and clean! We had a great lunch in the restaurant and sat outside near the pool, which was sparkling clean and big. The room was comfortable and clean and quiet. The shuttle was prompt in picking us up from the airport and it began running to and from the airport at 5am.

The lady who checked us in told us we didn't need to catch the shuttle as early as we intended- had we listened to her we would have been very pressed for time! The airport is under construction and the shuttle driver dropped us at the wrong terminal, so we had to walk quite a ways to the international terminal. Seems like the driver should be more aware of the problems posed by construction and make every effort to drop off shuttle passengers at the correct terminal!

On our trip to Provence, we arrived by flight at Marseille airport late in the evening, and took off from it early in the morning. We booked the hotel for the first and the last night of the trip. The location of the hotel is very convenient, we arrived there five minutes after we picked up the car at the airport and returned the car at the end of the trip five minutes after we left the hotel. The first night, even though we arrived late, we still got a light dinner.

The reason I booked this hotel was the proximity to the aiport. I had an early flight the next day and wanted to be close since I needed to drop my rental car. Since Best Western is a familiar brand ( I knew what to expect from previous stays in other countries). I was actually pleasantly surprised with all the extra ammenities ( restaurant- which typicaly in the US there is none); nice outdoor area with a pool and good size exercise room. And most important it had a gated parking lot! You were pretty much steps way from the airport! Very Very convenient!

There was nothing that I did not like.

Friendly staff (all spoke English); walking distance through a lit field and then rental car lots to airport (had to be there before shuttle began running at 5); very safety conscious: had to ring a bell to enter the driveway, key card required to use elevator (and it only worked for your floor); room was a nice size and included a small table and two chairs

the bathrooms need grab bars in the tub (it was quite a step to get in and out); wish there had been drawers or shelves for unpacking (we were there 2 nights and lived out of our suitcases)

I've stayed several times at this Best Western. It is very convenient to the Marseille Provence Aeroport and a great place to recover from a translatlantic flight before you take off to your destination. This hotel has been consistently excellent for the past 7 years at least in my experience. That says something if the property maintains its excellence. It isn't an accident that my stay was wonderful--it is because the facility is well run and well staffed.

I really can't think of anything they could improve--everything is great.
