Ibis Tours Centre Giraudeau

Helpful and professional staff, clean room, great breakfast. The room was a good size, the breakfast had a lot of choice - with some excellent cheeses and a great selection of teas, breads, and muesli options. The room had AC which was working well, and also a good shower/en suite, and a large bed.

The location is further out from the town centre than the hotel's website states - we were happy to walk most of the time but this is not going to be the case for everyone. It is a 30 minute walk to the main train station of Tours, and not 20 as the website says. Keep this in mind if you are thinking of walking there with luggage. It is also about 35-40 minutes to Colbert street where many of the restaurants are, and to the historic centre in general. This translates to 10 Euros in a Bolt car, or 15 in an Uber, and 19 Euros in a taxi called from the hotel.

The staff were lovely, the room was basic but very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. It has plenty of free parking and it is in a quiet area. They have free Wi-Fi! We will definitely consider using it again for future overnight stops on our way south.

Unfortunately they weren’t able to offer a meal in the restaurant on the Saturday evening (we had stayed there two weeks previously, on a Friday, and had lovely meals). The young man in charge kindly suggested some places where we could get a meal, but the closest ones were either closed or weren’t what we had in mind and we were too tired, after a day of travelling, to walk any further. However, just along the road is a Casino local grocery shop, so we bought what we fancied and had a take-away feast!

all perfect third time we stayed on our returning to UK over the last 3 years on seeing family in Spain. we will book next time we complete the same journey or any other time we are in the area

Rear car park now has spaces marked out, now unpractical to use as spaces are too small and cannot get car out or in of some spaces in a normal size car. small car ie fiat 500 fine even this size is difficult. we ended up parking in main street during our stay for the first time and seeing spaces not used.

We loved this hotel! All staff we encountered were great and spoke good English which was a welcome surprise. Benjamin was incredibly informative and directed us to a great street with several restaurants for dinner. Samantha was also very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in any hotel, great selection. Room and hotel were very clean.

This is a smaller, boutique type hotel so rooms may be small for some people - however we had no problem with this, more than enough space for a couple.

We had a great stay here. We booked last minute and were exhausted after a long day of travel. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Samantha who helped us find a place to eat and told us everything we needed to know. We thought the breakfast was very good and worth the surcharge, with lots of options available. Comfortable bed, easy to park, and friendly staff - recommended! Thank you Samantha for making our stay very comfortable!

Room clean and tidy bathroom had a walk in shower and body wash supplies in pump action containers (no waste from individual ones). Restaurant very pleasant with reasonably priced menu of the day and drinks. Breakfast a good selection of items were there to choose to eat and staff replacing items as they were being used. A nice hotel for my overnight stay

Nothing as the hotel met my requirements for my over night stay in Tours.

The hotel was located well for a stop over on the way to Spain, rooms are clean & modern and are quite sufficent for a 1 maybe 2 night stay. We were travelling with a dog so dog friendly was a bonus too. Free parking 👍

I think the breakfast at €9.90 each is a bit excessive for a continental but thats just a personal bug bear of mine.

The hotel is great for visiting all the Chateaux that are located nearby, all the castles are within 1-1,5h drive. The room itself is nice, with a comfy bad and air conditioning. I would separately note the work of hotel staff - all the administrators were super helpful, kind and nice. Overall, totally recommend for a stay in Tours

Excelent breakfast and dinner. Very helpful and friendly staff. Location is very good. Comfortable bed, but very uncomfortable pillows, I needed harder ones. Wonderful shower. Good parking facilities.

It was a bit noisy in the morning, the noise woke my husband up.

No drinks fridge in room We had breakfast before getting ready, but there was no hot water so had cold showers. Not sure if this is because it's in a commercial area, so most guests are working ? It was a long walk into the centre
