Ace Hotel Troyes

Good hotel if you are travelling as near the motorway. The hotel is modern and our room was big, up to date with the furniture and facilities. The room was clean. There is a nice restaurant around the corner from the hotel which offers a discount if you are staying at the hotel.

An alarm rang during the night and we all went outside. However, there was no member of staff at reception or around, so we never found out what the alarm was and if it was safe to go back to our rooms when the alarm stopped ringing. It would have been nice to have someone talk to us and reassuring us of what had happened.

Great stopover value hotel. Several miles from motorway but on excellent, fast main road. We had major delays at. Eurotunnel and arrived at 02.30hrs, car park gates locked but opened promptly when pressed buzzer and plenty of free car parking in gated, secure car park. 24 hour reception and lovely, friendly receptionist despite our very late arrival. Enormous family room, would sleep 5, we were only 4. Fabulous, very comfy beds. Nice hot shower. We were pleased breakfast was served until 10.30 and check out wasn’t until 11.00, so we could lie in after our late night. Good choice at breakfast: cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissant, cold meat and cheeses, fruit juice and teas/coffees although this was extra and not included in the room price. Well equipped with shower gel/shampoo and hairdryer.

The gentleman at reception during the night was lovely, the lady in the morning was pleasant - but needed prompting to refill milk container, or stock up fruit bowl etc. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but this is a budget hotel an there were paper cups so you could drink water.

We regularly stop here as it is a convenient location for us 2/3rds of the way to our destination. Secure parking, very quiet, clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff and a good selection for breakfast. Courtepaille grill next door with discount if you show your hotel key.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, there is nothing to do or see there otherwise. Not a problem for us as we just want to rest before the onward drive but travellers should be aware of this ......

We stayed as a stop over on the way to The Alps and we’re pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was for the bargain price! The gentleman on reception, was jolly and friendly at 11pm when we arrived and 5am when we left!! 😊

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Parking was secure.

There is no kettle to make a hot drink in the room. Bought small bottle of water from reception (and it was very expensive) but it was only way we could have a drink in the room. Thought access to breakfast was difficult, everyone in the restaurant was making multiple trips to collect things and it was difficult to access, might be better with a central unit rather than a one way system.

The secure car park was great. The gate closes at night but if you are in, you can leave at any time. We didn't have breakfast but I think it's great that it starts at 6 am. The staff is very nice too. A few minutes by car to Troyes town centre.

We like the convenience of this hotel, easy to find as we travel north or south. Parking is excellent, everything is very clean, the rooms are basic but bright and comfortable. To gain a more spacious room I book one for 3 people, though we are just a couple. Breakfast is adequate and good value. This was our third stay, so obviously it satisfied our needs for an overnight stop. We choose to eat at the Courtepaille restaurant, a minute's walk away.

The temperature when we arrived was 42° so it was fantastic to be able to have a lovely air conditioned room!! Really quiet room with comfy bed, facilities all good and clean.

We weren't late for breakfast but there wasn't much choice when we arrived. There didn't seem to be any rush to refill the bread and pastries baskets

Spotlessly clean, good sized room, very comfortable, decent vreakfast.

No dinner served although mentioned on website. Not really a problem because two restaurants within a two minute walk - and a 15% discount given to Ace Hotel guests. A minor issue - surprised check in not allowed until 4pm, late by industry standards.

Extremely convenient location near A5 highway. Nice and semirural. Conveniently close restaurants and minimarkets. Very clean and well kept - facilities exactly as described. Comfortable beds - long length a bonus. Perfectly appointed disabled shower room. Excellent receptionist. All in all a great find!

The "very fast internet"was not so fast. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, which is material to disabled people
