Lovely hotel in the middle of a National park - lots of walking and activities including a rope parcours course and riding stables. I wish we had booked the activities ahead as they were fully booked when we arrived (school holidays etc). Room was big and very clean. Food - all made on site, local and organic - was exceptional. I have seen some of the comments re breakfast running low. It seems they bake scones (absolutely divine - don’t miss) in the morning and there are only enough for one each. I guess get there early! Make sure you have dinner in the restaurant. It is really very good.

The shower didn’t stay up and there wasn’t a blind on our bathroom window which happened to be at the same level as part of the parcours course!

A really lovely place in a beautiful setting- the dinner was amazing- local ingredients and beautifully prepared delicious food served on the charming terrace. The rooms were really clean and very tastefully decorated. Lovely views light and space.

No kettle or tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the shower head didn’t stay in the holder. Also breakfast was ok but several things ran out and weren’t refreshed and it could have done with more fruit/vegetables.

The location within the hamlet of Le Gasseau is very special. It is designated as a leisure and cultural commune within the Alps Mancelles.La Maisonette du Gasseau offers fabulous food and accommodation within this special area of outstanding beauty. The all female team running MG are so creative energetic friendly and welcoming. We loved it!

We loved the location, it's very beautiful, lots of walks and outdoor activities. Our stay was only for 1 evening but we would love to stay again and use the facilities available. The food was wonderful, fresh and local. Excellent service, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Would definitely stay again.

This place totally exceeded our expectations they were pretty high anyway after looking at the website and photos. This truely is the most beautiful French hideaway. We pulled up outside the hotel amongst the locals dining alfresco and we were met with the most warmest greetings. Everything about this place was just stunning food,staff, location I could talk about it all day.

The setting and ambience is fantastic. Quiet and peaceful. Friendly welcoming staff. Love the styling, decor etc. Their philosophy, for local, fresh, good quality produce. Incredible meal in the restaurant. Superb cooking, some unique dishes, great flavours. Continental breakfast, again all top quality produce.

Stunning quiet location. Lovely staff. Delicious, predominantly vegetarian & seasonal food. Awesome "acro-branch" zip wire adventure course at the property. Gorgeous outdoor terraces with ample comfortable seating. Wish we'd been able to stay longer.

The location was great with it being set in the countryside. The staff were very welcoming & there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and our room was ideal for us. The outdoor herb & vegetable garden was beautiful.

I loved the building itself, room was very spacious and it was not too expensive. Staff was very friendly.

Small point of criticism is that we were last for breakfast and we had to ask to supplement ingredients that were already almost finished

Great for families - accommodation really comfy and plenty of space for family of four in two room set up. Beautiful location with animals which kids loved.

Maybe a kettle in the room but really clutching at straws!
