Le moulin des Sens0

Moulin de Sens is a tucked away gem with high quality furnishings throughout and great hosts. Vincent prepared a great breakfast and was super friendly, being very patient with our very limited French! Comfortable room and great shower. Lovely pool/garden view. Merci beaucoup!

We had an interesting noise coming from one corner of the room - a heating pipe just under the floor causing some expansion in the floor covering! But after the initial ear-worm we dropped off to sleep OK :) Vincent is on the case!

Beautiful home with a lovely couple. We arrived hot and tired after cycling from Biarritz, and were treated to a lovely dip in their pool. We had dinner and breakfast at the accommodation, both which were delicious and very generous. We also made use of the hot tub in the evening when the temperature had cooled down! Would highly recommend.

Given the unfortunate heatwave the room was very hot. It would have benefitted from a fan to help keep us cool, as we had to open the windows to the mosquitos!

Great place with really lovely owners. Orthez isn't a particularly great place to visit but it's perfectly located as a base to explore the region. Food is excellent and if the owners offer you dinner, you should accept straight away. The pool is a tranquil haven after a hard day of being a tourist.

It's almost perfect although putting mosquito screens on the bedroom windows would be one small way of making it even better.

we ( a group of 6 friends on a cycle trip) received a very warm welcome from Vincent and he was very helpful showing us where to store our bikes and was kind enough to have offered to provide an evening meal. The house is homely and comfortable and the breakfast was the best we had on our trip. Two of us even had time in the jacuzzi .

The rooms were good size and had all that was needed. Good shower. Great breakfast. Good evening meal and fun company. Hosts were helpful and friendly.

A bit plagued by mosquitos when we were there meant sitting outside not so pleasant. A fair distance from town centre and not always with pavement for walkers - only after we arrived did we learn the hosts would have collected us.

Hosts were really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Setting after a long drive was really tranquil. Fantastic al fresco breakfast and Vincent even suggested an excellent local restaurant for our evening meal and offered to book for us. Even the cat was friendly.

Mosquitoes.

It was lovely to spend a week there. The hosts were so very welcoming and the house is gorgeous. It was like being at home but without having to cook and clean:) I very much recommend it.

Vincent and his wife are excellent hosts: very welcoming and friendly persons. They take the time to speak with you and to make sure you enjoy your stay. The Moulin is very nicely renovated with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna and just 10 minutes by car to the city center. Having friends in the area, we will certainly come back next year.

Great breakfast, friendly and informative hosts, charming house in a great location. We hope to come back in September!
