L'Herbier d'Orange

The building definitely looks very authentic and is worth seeing. The managers speak English and are super nice (many thanks personally to Beatrice, the receptionist). The hotel is located just in the middle of the town, next to the Ancient Roman theatre and is surronded by cute narrow streets and passage ways filled with restaurants, backeries, souvenir shops etc. Be aware though, that the building was constructed very long time ago, and therefore its interior is not adapted for people having problems with motion. The doors and coridors are extremely narrow, and the stairs are extremely steep. Please consult with the managers, if you think, this may be a problem for you.

When we arrived, all streets leading to the hotel were closed for traffic due to a festival. Therefore we had to park our car outside the central historic district and to walk to the hotel with the luggage (~ 10 min).

The location was excellent, being in the centre of town and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The car parking, although a short walk from the hotel, was good and spacious and it was not too difficult to drop off the luggage at the hotel first.

The room was small and the bathroom tiny. Our room was on the third floor so there were quite a few stairs to carry luggage although the lovely receptionist did help us with that.

A beautiful small hotel very close to the Roman theater. It is operated by a wonderful young couple who went out of their way to help us with setting up a taxi for the next leg of our cycle trip and accommodated our unusual approach to dinner in the small public square out front. The evening was completed by doing a complimentary evaluation of their local beers!

Location is fantastic, right in the middle of the town. The family running the hotel are friendly and hospitable. They were lovely to talk to and nothing was a problem. The town is beautiful with Roman ruins and markets. Definitely a great place to stop and explore. Recommend checking out the concert schedule in the Roman theatre!

The owners were very amicable and helpful at all times. The hotel is in a great, central location in town and is very clean and comfortable. Would recommend it. Breakfast was also nice and at a reasonable price.

Everything. Especially the hosts . Also the cute functional pretty rooms overlooking the square. The location was unbeatable, market day was on the doorstep. Breakfast was a great buffet. Just superb.

Excellent central location but quiet. Perfect. Travelling by bike and safely stored them for us. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Will stay again.

Room a little tight on space
