Cit'Hotel Sphinx - Hotel

The staff were wonderful and very attentive and efficient. The first room I had when I arrived late due to the Eurostar being delayed was not great but the one I had upon my return from a Booking.com aspect was brilliant. Suggest asking to be at the front of the hotel overlooking the courtyard, which is a car park, but the rooms are slightly larger and nicer.

Actually, not much. It was a superb hotel with friendly, almost a family like presence. So rare there days. I travel for work and stay in hotel chains frequently. It was lovely to stay in this place with family values.

A really beautiful house in the very center of Montélimar with beautiful, typical french rooms (fabric wallpaper) in a familiar atmosphere. Easy access outdoor parking (on reservation) at good price (7 Euros/night) right in front of the entry. Quiet. Breakfast was good enough. Walking out of the patio/parking you are surrounded by a variety of restaurants (mostly pizza/hamburger/ice cream) visited by locals of all ages, and crossing the street there is the city park. Lots of trees in the surroundings - a beautiful location. The friendly women who welcomed us speaks several languages.

The hotel is located just across the park of the town along a pleasant street. It is housed in an old and nice structure and many rooms face the inner courtyard where you can park your car (€7 a day). Just outside the hotel you have bars, restaurants and shops and the center can be reached with a five-minute walk. Our room was large, comfortable, with three windows facing the courtyard and had kind of old style furniture. The bathroom was large and new. If you have mobility problems remember to inquire which room you’ll be assigned. Some rooms can be reached only through stairs.

The style of the hotel is really beautiful and the furniture in good condition. My room had its windows towards the calm courtyard. All members of staff have been really friendly and eager to make my stay pleasant. The whole room incl. the bathroom was perfectly clean.

The breakfast is a bit basic and was missing some fruit salad and vegetables from my point of view. But it was still a good breakfast buffet.

The personal was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is lovely with antique decoration, well preserved and clean. The breakfast on the terrace was also very nice.

NOthing to complain about the hotel at all. Regarding the city we were surprised that on a sunday mid august the city centre was almost "dead", all bars or restaurants were closed and the squares were empty. Luckily the hotel is located at a promenade with several restaurants that were nice and almost all of them were open.

we were not allowed to take dogs into breakfast room although we booked hotel as it was meant to be dog friendly. had to go out in the rain to find café for breakfast. took dogs to Michelin star restaurant for dinner the night before with no problems. man on desk suggested we locked dogs in the car as they would bark if we took them in the breakfast room. they would have really barked if we locked them in the car parked outside the breakfast room window. we won’t be using this hotel again and it should not be listed as dog friendly.

We made a last minute decision to stop in Montélimar on our way home and found this wonderful hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, we could park our car. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. We slept very well. It is in the centre of Montélimar, very pretty and green. We had a lovely breakfast on the patio. Dogs welcome

Everything was perfect

Location is super, parking on site if you are in time. Breakfast was great.

Asked for an invoice in the morning. The guy behind the counter didn't feel like making an invoice. After insisting it was no problem. I didn't get the point why he didn't like it, there was nobody else waiting or so.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Montelimar. From check-in to check- out we were well looked after with information about the hotel and it’s surrounding area. The bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Location is superb. Right in the middle of everything but quiet . Breakfast room is charming and the breakfast was fresh and good variety. The staff are wonderful ! Private secure parking. Historic Building. Rooms attractively decorated and furnished

My husband thought the bed was too firm. I loved everything.
