St-Alban Hotel & Spa

loved how rustic it was, very clean and comfortable and warm. staff very accommodating and friendly lovely to see. breakfast and the complimentary lunch was very nice and rooms decorated nicely.

there was nothing really we didn’t like. it was beautiful as explained above. maybe the hotel shuttle could be for longer during the day. maybe 8-12 as it may not be used that much but good to have available. or perhaps 9-11 to drop to the slopes and 3-5 for collection. the skis are very heavy to be carrying around.

This is a very stylish clean and comfortable Hotel with a smart pool and spa facilities. The staff are friendly and professional and clearly take pride in providing good service. Not many rooms have balconies and I would definitely recommend requesting a balcony with a southerly aspect so you can enjoy the views and sunshine (in the summer!) Unusually for a Hotel of this standard they do not provide half board but there are plenty of Restaurants nearby and Reception staff are happy to make recommendations and bookings for you. There is a ski rental shop on site for the winter season.

We stayed in the summer but it is not in the most convenient location for the ski season, however there is a ski bus stop right outside the Hotel.

The sauna and pool area are good. The pool offers two massage options. You can also schedule massages at the wellness center. The room was very comfy and we had partial view of the mountains. The staff was very friendly and attentious. Restaurants are reachable by feet (around 2 minutes). Breakfast was good with natural and regional yogurt and cheese options. The region around this location is very beautiful. There was a cafe machine and tea options inside the room.

Given the size and category of the hotel, I didn't expect to have to pay extra money for having fresh orange juice at the breakfast. There were not so many fruit options for breakfast. Access to tea and coffee is not free/easy, you need to ask the manager or waiter to bring it to you (but there are no extra costs for that). The double room was on the ground floor facing the main street where cars where passing early in the morning. The bathroom was a bit small.

lovely hotel, staff were just brilliant, friendly, helpful. Lovely atmosphere in the bar area to have a coffee or a cocktail. lovely complimentary afternoon cake etc. great self service breakfast. Reception staff pre booked dinner reservations for us too.

hike back to hotel after skiing with kids. Courtesy bus in morning but not in afternoon from/to hotel although you could wait for free shuttle bus in town but infrequent later in season.

Very stylish hotel with very clean, albeit quite small (but cosy) rooms. Friendly staff, good varied breakfast and a spa. Very central with easy access to local restaurants and ski lifts.

Pool is really more for adults relaxing after the spa, not particularly adapted for children, but it was great to have all the same.

The location was great with great options for restaurants and treks. The main plus for the hotel was the staff. So helpful and friendly. A special mention to Margot and Frederick.

Toiletries were not replenished unless asked and sheets and towels were not changed.

The staff was helpful, friendly, and professional. The rooms were comfortable. All requests were taken into account. Great breakfast offering and nice complementary afternoon snacks. The spa was also very clean, and the service there was great. The recommendations given by the hotel staff were nice and appreciated. The location is very close to the center of La Clusaz with a nice view of the mountains from the room.

Staff were so very friendly, couldn’t have done more for us. Lovely pool. Complimentary afternoon tea was a very welcome surprise and lovely after a day on the slopes. Modern but very tasteful. Great breakfast, good variety. Would go back in a heart beat! Thank you St Alban’s hotel & spa.

Nice breakfast, good location close to the ski lifts (there is a hotel bus that takes you to the lifts in the morning and can use the town bus to return in the afternoon with a stop outside the hotel) The hotel has a nice spa and indoor pool.
