Les Olivades

Beautiful swimming pool with views of the mountains. The bedroom had good air conditioning on a very hot night. The restaurant on the terrace was lovely and the quality of the menu was superb. It was quiet and peaceful. We extended our check out time by a couple of hours without extra charge.

The window in our bedroom did not open and the electric blinds were broken. Although the quality of the evening meal was excellent, the restaurant was very busy and the waiter service was extremely slow. We waited 15 minutes before any attention was given to us and another 20 mins before our order was taken. Our main course was served approximately an hour and a half after we sat down.

We loved this place! Our room was comfortable, spacious and stylish, with a small terrace outside (we booked a superior double). The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and a good size. The hotel has a lovely pool, with a delightful outside bar just next to it. The restaurant really makes this place special: we had an excellent dinner, and the menu was moderately priced, given the quality (although the wine list felt a bit pricey). In fact we enjoyed our one night here so much we abandoned our plans to stay elsewhere on our return journey and booked in for two more nights at Les Olivades instead!

I can't think of any criticism.

Room was a lovely design, very well appointed with an excellent balcony. The soundproofing and blackouts were also excellent. The hotel is in a lovely setting and the design of the whole place is really unique. The restaurant is very high quality and provides lots of nice separated eating spaces. When checking out we were after breakfast but reception still arranged coffee and pastries, much appreciated.

Very attractive property with nice gardens and pool area. Our room had a terrace with comfortable chairs and loungers. Food was very good at a reasonable price. A shame that it was just a stopover for us.

Nice restaurant atmosphere but the waiter(who was possibly the proprietor) was rushing about from table to table , plonking down the meals with no aplomb which detracted from a possible calm dinner.

Fabulous room with an unexpected balcony with views over the mountains. The restaurant is not cheap but very much worth it - excellent food beautifully presented and with friendly helpful staff. Very nice pool area to relax in after a long drive or day out. The hotel building is modernised but keeps its beautiful traditional look and feel throughout. Just far enough out of town for a quiet environment. Ideal for a stopover or longer stay.

Couldn't fault it - nothing to dislike or improve upon.

The location is beautiful very quiet with a stream and the mountain around. The pool area was stunning. Dinner was good but unfortunately the staff was a bit slow ( although very nice waiter). The staff was overall very accommodating. We had a great stop over and look forward to coming back

The food was delightful, the room was quaint but fully functional, the pool was good and our hosts were welcoming and helpful.

I’d modify the address in booking.com to take out the reference to Rue des Lavoirs. It isn’t necessary and in our case, because of events which were out of our hosts control, made finding the property difficult and time consuming.

We were travelling back by car from Italy to central France, avoiding the autoroutes, and Gap was an ideal stopping point for an overnight. The hotel is comfortable, modern, well equipped, and the staff are friendly. Our dinner experience was exceptional..... the quality, choice of food and wine, all superb. Also enjoyed breakfast. Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Les Olivades so much that we booked another night here.The location is in the countryside so it is very relaxing and quiet.Unexpected we were given a room with a private balcony which provided us with more space and comfort.The staff are friendly and helpful.I would recommend the hotel as there is an outdoor swimming pool and lovely gardens too!A very memorable and pleasant stay.

A lovely country house hotel with a beautiful garden. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded and enjoyed the extras. We had a lovely view from the window with a stylish sofa to enjoy it from. We were well looked after and had an excellent evening meal in the courtyard.
