Castelbrac Hotel & Spa

Balcony room for 5 was Large and gave a superb view. The restaurant was superb and worth its Michelin star status. Staff without exception were excellent.

Difficult to criticise, we did find the seats in the bar area not so comfortable but they look very stylish however, we had our bar meal in the sitting room which was both stylish and extremely comfortable.

Service wasn’t as good as it should be for the cost. Too reactive and not particularly engaging Some aspects of the room were very disappointing: towel radiator didn’t work, one sink was blocked, Wi-Fi was intermittent and it was almost impossible to get English speaking tv reception

The hotel location on a small cliff above the see is magnificient. There is a superb small terrace in the bar where you can have dinner or a drink just above the ocean. We had a splendid family dinner there. The staff is fantastic. We had a room with a small private terrace again above the ocean; had a superb breakfast there. Another room was without terrace but with a panoramic view (windows on a whole wall) of the ocean. Beautiful external architecture using local grey stones. Just below the hotel, there is a very nice pedestrian walk along the ocean which goes up to the beach (10 mins away) and the awesome public saltwater swimming pool; this swimming pool is automatically and naturally cleaned twice a day by the ocean tides which submerge it (!)

The rooms were very nice but maybe the decoration was just a notch below the rest of the superb facility; it's subjective, but I wasn't a big fan of the bathroom tiles for instance. Clearly this a nit. Do not miss this superb hotel.

Amazing and quirky hotel with interesting history and fabulous view over the bay between St Malo and Dinard. Terrific and classy renovation done just before the pandemic. Def worth the trip.

Well... it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Breakfast excellent, room comfortable, e-bikes great. Best bit was the staff though - all of them were excellent

Room was a little on the small side and would’ve been nice to have a bath in the bathroom!

Staff helpfulness and friendliness; superb room with lots of unexpected extra touches and a gorgeous view; excellent food and service in the restaurant; lovely décor and slight quirkiness of the building and its conversion.

Warm welcome from staff and tour of hotel including its history. Private spacious terrace with gorgeous and interesting views of the water and ferry. Splendid swimming pool. Excellent bar and restaurant.

Paying for parking when the rooms were not cheap.

Firstly the position of the hotel is fabulous as it’s looks directly out into the bay .. rooms and design are both lavish and cosy. It’s the staff however who are stars too as nothing was too difficult for them to explain to us and we were given a history lowdown of the hotel and all its incarnations.. perfectly placed on foot from the main town too.

Lovely room with a view of the bay. Excellent service the only criticism is that the fitness suite was closed for repairs. As this is an important feature for me this was a disappointment.
