Brit Hotel Dieppe

This hotel is located close to the port, so has that advantage over other hotels in Dieppe. We have stayed there before, some years ago, when the hotel was quite new. This time, we had two rooms for our family group. I felt slightly disappointed that the rooms were beginning to look tired and need of some updating. However, the location for an overnight, close to the port, is an important plus-factor. We were amongst a very small number of guests on the night of out stay and the only guests at breakfast during our time in the dining room. All in all, the hotel is a good overnight stop...

Rooms could do with some updating. No obvious guest facilities to use, if you were checking in early in the evening....dining/bar...

The receptionist was exceptionally kind and patient, especially when I locked myself out of our room, there was no issue at all with her coming immediately and letting us back in again with the master key. Note to self! Do not close door without key in hand!!! Bed exceptionally comfortable and the room whilst at first felt a little cool, soon warmed up, without being too hot, so a good nights sleep was had!

Having to get up so early that we missed breakfast!!!

Nice hotel, good facilities, friendly staff. As I was going off to France, I wasn't sure if it would be a good hotel or not, which is why i only booked a few days. As it turned out, it was a perfect stay in a nice hotel. I would like to come back some time.

Breakfast wasn't included in the price, so I had to eat out elsewhere, but this was no big problem. Also, it was in the middle of nowhere, and a bit of a distance from the town centre, a 25 minute walk uphill. Again, no real problem once I realised how to get there and back, but a bit frustrating when I first arrived.

Clean and pleasant business class hotel. We stayed here for one night because central Dieppe hotels were fully booked and had limited expectations but were very pleasantly surprised. All staff were helpful and friendly, and helped especially when we arrived ahead of check-in time. The room had a proper table for drinks and snacks with two dining chairs, comfy bed, and was surprisingly quiet considering the location near a main roundabout. The secure bike storage was excellent. Good breakfast selection.

Nothing except that the location is 2 km out of town. Would be convenient for major regional roads.

Very convenient for the ferry Newhaven to Dieppe, and for travelling on to our destination. Very comfortable room with good facilities - showere etc....., breakfast was extra but there was plenty of choice.

Bear in mind there is no air-con in the hotel rooms. Leaving the window open to let in cool air meant outside noise intruded - particularly the seagulls in the early morning! In cooler weather just completely shut the window, this completely cuts out all noise. In hot weather either sweat profusely in the night, or let in the fresh air and the noise of squawking seagulls! A real pity the aircon was never fitted properly and does not work (the temperature gauge on the wall is not connected). Management please note!

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Room had everything required. TV. Good shower etc. Breakfast in morning was decent with more than enough choice.. This hotel shares a car park and part of the building with the local Gendarme so is probably the safest hotel car park in Dieppe. Excellent location for visiting Dieppe and for the Ferry port which is only 5 mins away in car. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing that came to notice. Everything was good. No issues at all during our stay.

Booked this hotel for a short stop before catching the early Dieppe/Newhaven ferry. It is just off one of the roundabouts on the way to the port so no need to divert. Big lit sign on the top of the hotel so easy to see and find especially at night. We arrived at 10pm and the night porter greeted us with a big smile and cheery bonsoir, he even provided us with a complimentary hot drink although there is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room. Everything around was closed by the time we arrived (Sunday) so don't bank on getting anything to eat. The room was clean and well fitted (basic, but it is a budget hotel) nice shower room, comfy bed and quiet. We left at 4am the next morning and the same smiling night porter bid us farewell. We were at the port within 5 mins. Very happy with what was provided for what we paid. We will recommend and use again.

Ideal location for catching ferry. Nearby options to eat out. Really comfortable bed and very clean room. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Reception area was immaculately clean and smelt really fresh. There was no noise at all overnight enabling a good sleep.

I would prefer to have a ceramic cup instead of a paper one but that's only a tiny detail.

Very comfortable bed, good shower. Plus it was easy to find coming up from the ferry port. Great place for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10 but at 9.30 it looked as though a swarm of locusts had passed through. There was very little left and even though they brought out more bread it felt as though the breakfast was not good value for the price charged.

Very, very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. A quick check in by a very friendly efficient staff member. Modern, good size room, very comfortable bed with lovely fresh bedding ensured a good night's sleep, there was a kettle in the room so we were able to make coffees, which meant that we were soon on our way the next morning. The car park was well lit and no problem finding a space.
