Hotel Arena restaurant le Refuge

the location is absolutely stunning. A hotel next to a river that you can literally throw yourself into from the hotel’s terrace. Staff is super friendly and nice. Beautiful city of Corte is just a quick drive away. And they were so very welcoming to our two dogs and they’re huge dogs. They also serve great food there. We went for dinner and in was super good. It was really an awesome experience and would definitely recommend it.

Just minor details, like in our room, the toilet was placed a little high, but if your 185 cm or more you will be fine😁 The room could use some shading on a terrace because it gets quite hot when summer sun starts to power up in the morning and is quite persistent through the day🙂

This hotel is set in a stunning location with the relaxing flow of the river alongside it. The staff are friendly, the food was delicious and the room was super clean. Evenings spent on the terrace enjoying a glass of wine were exceptional.

The only point which could have been improved is the quality of the mattresses. They were fairly thin and hence an 8 out of 10 rather than a 10. But all in all we had a fantastic time.

The location of the hotel was unbelievable. We'd seen photographs when booking but they didn't do it justice. The Restonica river running through the hotel grounds was superb and very unique, if you like the great outdoors then this is the place to be. The bar and restaurant were good, it wasn't fine dining but the service, food and drink were all perfectly good. It was a little bit of a walk into town or a short drive. We went hiking on the Restonica trail which was superb. If you are looking for an active trip with absolutely superb scenery then this is the place to stay.

The rooms were a little dated but perfectly clean and comfortable with good aircon.

Excellent location at the beginning of the awesome Vallée de la Restonica. Ideal for hiking tours and bathing in the river. There are comfortable and picturesque sitting areas at the river, even sunbeds. There is also a good restaurant. Just amazing.

The beds weren't comfortable. Old mattresses.

The hotel is situated on a great spot on the river at the foot of the mountains. This means great breakfasts/lunch/dinners with the sound of the river cascading down the rocks. From the hotel you can do great walks/climbs along the riverside, climbing from rock to rock and taking a dive in one of the many natural rock pools. What a blast. The hotel itself is very nice, rooms are roomy and airconditioned, beds are good and the bathroom provides for everything you expect at this price level. Eating at the restaurant is good, though a bit simple and on the heavy side. But the location and surroundings while eating on the riverside terras sure make up for what the food might be lacking. Staff is friendly and adequate, but not over achieving. If you want a great location to explore the mountains this is your sure pick.

The location is everything! You can swim in the river, lie on the huge rocks... We had a good dinner on the terrace. There’s a table and two chairs outside of the each room on the porch. Really relaxing place. You can get massages... I lost a book there and the staff was really helpful in searching. We didn’t find it but it’s not their fault.

Not possible to open the window, I sleep with an open window, so I needed to sleep with an open door, I did not feel safe. If you are sensitive sleeper, due to mountain river is very noisy 😁

The location on the river was beautiful. Close to a short easy hike and a short drive to town. Loved our dinner at the hotel, delicious food and great coffee in the morning
