Hotel Heritage

The staff, in particular Louise and Sarah. Louise offered so much assistance before we actually got to the hotel, in respect to arranging a Hennessy Cognac tour, and also the secure parking at their sister hotel (a two minute walk from Heritage hotel) so important for us as we were travelling back to the UK and wanted peace of mind for our belongings. Rooms were lovely and modern (not very big) but very adequate, with a lovely bathroom and shower. The room was so quiet at night too. It was in a great central location and Cognac has a great vibe to the town. The Hennesy tour is fabulous and just a 10 minute walk from the hotel (make sure you go on the English speaking tour) we didn’t and wish we had, but it was still great. In the evening we ate at the hotel and both enjoyed the sea bass. Breakfast was plentiful in the morning, and we would definitely return to the Heritage hotel when passing this way. The location was great, walkable to the sites all around the village of Cognac, close to cute cafes and shops. Very comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Loved this historical feel of the building with the modern amenities like AC and an updated bathroom.

The breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast buffet, recommend getting a coffee from one of the nearby cafes instead.

Staff was particularly careful, smiling and arranging. The building is beautiful and renovated with taste. Rooms are standard, comfortable, with a hint of special touches that give them all their identity. Location is unbeatable.

A bit disappointed by the restaurant where we had lunch only once and that everybody recommended us. But it was a special weekend (national french holiday), so it was very crowded/busy and maybe we were just unlucky this time. Worth a second try. I would't penalise them for it.

Really friendly and helpful staff, and all speak English very well. Great location in the town centre, right by the picturesque shopping streets. Cosy courtyard and restaurant with a simple menu but great food and good service. A neat breakfast with appropriate covid measures. Also, the rooms have super comfy beds and pillows!

Overall the room was clean, but the nightstand had some sticky stains from a drink glass. When an adjacent room was using hot water the boiler/water was quite loud. It makes sense since it's a historical building, but it was somewhat noisy early in the morning.

This is not the same hotel I visited a few years ago… it’s been upgraded in every way. The rooms are completely renovated and now with ac.

Limited choice for breakfast. But to be fair , a large group had just visited. We only had coffee, juice and yogurt so the hotel dropped the charge.

Great location and helpful staff at reception. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and beds comfy.

Really struggled to fit the travel cot provided in our room as had been set up in a little side room. There was no sink in beside the toilet so very unhygienic. Housekeeping let themselves into our room on 2 occasions while we were in there with very little warning.

Hotel located on Main Street and close to the cognac tasting houses. We found free parking in street adjacent to hotel as the hotel is on pedestrian street. There is the local market hall which we found really handy with fresh fruits. The room was very large and spacious. The bed was really good size for couple - we stayed at more expensive hotels during our trip and the beds for two people were quite cramped. There was complimentary tea and coffee. The hotel has a bar where you can also try different cognac. Furniture is slightly outdated but fantastic value.

We stayed as a couple for one night at this lovely dog friendly hotel in the centre of Cognac on our way back from Spain. The hotel is a real gem, renovated in bold and beautiful colours with a small restaurant attached. Really friendly staff, nice food and great atmosphere.

Really friendly staff. Great rooms. Great location. Our favourite was sitting outside in the courtyard under the tree and dining at their restaurant, which was absolutely fabulous!

Location excellent - very central, breakfast good, room comfortable. Stay was made significantly better by Louise who was super helpful with advice on tours, booking restaurant, sorting out parking. She really made a huge difference to our stay - thanks.
