Best Western Plus Villa Saint Antoine Hotel & Spa

Location is unbelievable. Clisson has such a lovely town centre. We abandoned all plans to use it just as a base, and chilled there instead. Could have stayed longer in this relaxed atmosphere. We had a river/chateau-facing room and balcony. Superb! Good sized room with effective but near-silent air-conditioning.

Personally found the food menu too restrictive, and a little too fancy. But that might just be me. Honestly struggling to think of any negatives - maybe could have done with a fridge for in-room drinks?

The spacious room and lovely bathroom with excellent shower. The restaurant with its excellent food and which had a stunning view of the chateau. The pool was very refreshing after a busy day sightseeing. The great location was excellent for the local places of interest.

The sloping roof of our room, which meant no view, or a very restricted view at best. This was not clear from the room description. The bathroom mirror was faulty and was flickering throughout our 3 night stay despite reporting it early on in our stay.

The location was beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Parking is also very convenient.

We only stayed one night on the way back to Nantes Airport. We chose to get some breakfast in one of the local cafés after checking out, but hadn't realised everything is shut on Mondays. The hotel could only offer us a 3 course lunch which was too much after the wonderful meal we'd had the night before.

Had a very comfortable room with an excellent view of the River Sevre and the castle.

Minor irritations only that didn't detract from the pleasure of the hotel at all. Missed having drawers to put my clothes in - don't like living out of a suitcase. Missed having hand cream for after washing my hands, and hair conditioner. Didn't bother packing either as they are normally part of 4* bathrooms.

Very good sized room (room 20) and terrace with castle view, spacious bathroom with excellent shower, v pleasant pool area, excellent food in v comfortable restaurant & on sunny terrace by river. Very happy to find an electric charging point in carpark. Central in Clisson so easy to explore on foot from the hotel.

Hotel was quite difficult to find, but Google got us there. Dont be put off when finding yourself on what appears to be a pedestrian/cycle path! Room was quite noisy from the terrace area below and corridor until late.

Wonderful welcoming boutique hotel in fabulous surroundings. Room 18 with balcony has great views and lovely bathroom. Food and terrace excellent. Check in and out was extremely professional and friendly. Overall very relaxing vibe and will definitely be back.

A mini fridge in the room would have been nice. Wardrobe facility ok if staying for 2 or 3 nights. Staff extremely friendly and polite but restaurant service could have been more attentive. The reception area is very small and very near the door entrance and not private.

Friendly personnel, nice cozy room, good bed and bathroom, desk, breakfast was good too, and a free parking.

I finished early so I checked out 1 day sooner, normally I know this is difficult when booked through booking because the hotel has to pay anyway, but now when I checked out I received a message with a changed date and reduced price, but the hotel still charged me for the 3 nights instead of 2, and the last night was the most expensive. I think that is not so good service.

Great location looking at the chateau down on the river. We had dinner which was exceptional and as good as last time. We ate out side in the pleasant September weather.. We hadn't brought our swimwear else we'd have been in the pool the weather was that nice. The staff are really great too we tried our best (poor) French but when we got stuck the staff all spoke excellent English and were sympathetic with our attempts to speak french.The selection for breakfast was fabulous with 3 or 4 home made cakes, delicious croissants, brioche and pain au chocolate cold cuts plus scrambled eggs and ham that were replenished several times so always fresh.

Breakfast food was excellent but it's a crush getting in to select food and self serve drinks a minor problem but worth mentioning. The bedroom was lovely but spoilt by a couple of big stains on the carpet - red wine perhaps and no fridge but there was a kettle, water and ensuite.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke almost perfect english. Pool was fantastic, water was refreshingly warm. Breakfast was okay. Location is perfect, with great view from the windows.

AC was not functioning and the weather was very hot. At least you can open the window. Price was quite high, but I understand it had to be because of the event happening.

The location and the view were absolutely incredible. This town was a little hidden gem in our travels. The room was perfect for us, the beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We stayed in room 43 which is perfect for a family of 4 akd has the most amazing view directly onto the castle ruins, the river and the beautiful Tuscan style building. Loved it all!

The cleaning staff in the 3rd level had BO every day 😳
