Spa Hotel Rauhalahti

Lovely location and very helpful staff. Fun karaoke on the terrace. I liked that our room had a little balcony. I would like to return in order to use the spa and spend more time in the surroundings as our stay this time was quite short.

Overall, the room was clean, but there were details skipped. The toilet would have needed a flush and there were beer cans and a cigarette package left on the balcony. Breakfast needs some work.

I read a number of negative-ish reviews but our stay was completely OK. We stayed just one night, arrived late and departed early so we could not, unfortunately, use any of the services like sports activities and swimming pools. The personnel was very friendly, room had everything we needed for a brief night's stay. Free parking right outside the hotel. Breakfast ok even with "kalakukko" to get some local flavor.

The decor is dated. Bathroom very small and no shower box, just a shower curtain so you risk flooding or at least getting your socks wet if you enter without shoes after the other person has taken a shower.

actually, it was better than expected. the hotel is not new but in a quite good shape. the spa is also okay. especially the outdoor pool was enjoyable. also the breakfast was perfect

our only disappontment was room cleaning. i had to move beds to put them together, and found a lot of dust there. but the worst surprise was some underwear under one of the beds. really disgusting…

the SPA is a great asset especially the outdoor pool in winter staff super kind, friendly and helpful nice location for Nordic ski as well as walking in the woods and along the lake

we were not expecting that there is no service of the room at all (no towels changes, no bed making, no floor cleaning).

Swimming pool was good and fact that family apartment had a separate “ferry cabin” for the kids meant after they went to bed we could be in the main living space and watch tv without greatly disturbing them. The staff were nice and friendly also.

When renting an apartment with a kitchenette I would expect more than four sets of knives and forks, 4 small plates and four cups. No utensils and not even coffee filters for the coffee maker provided let alone coffee. When, during the corona pandemic, we aren’t able to eat in the hotel restaurant this is especially painful.

It was nice and comfortable. All the staff was really nice and I must specifically mention the restaurant, the food was amazing and the service excellent!

The only thing that was not to like was the horrible karaoke going on at the bar.

The spa was a nice activity for the kids!

The listing said that our room would have 2 twin beds, a bunk bed, and a sofa bed to accommodate 2 adults and 4 kids. However, the property informed us that there are only enough beds for 3 kids, and we needed to pay more to upgrade to an apartment hotel room, which would actually fit us all. So I'd say that the listing was misleading.

+ Comparatively small but cozy and enjoyable spa. + Good breakfast - not the widest variety of food but everything is really well prepared. + Awesome location at the lake shore

- The room was dusty and the beds are totally uncomfortable.

My husband asked in advance a card from a hotel for our anniversary and we got fruit plate and chocolates plus water bottles and card of course!

Balcony was a bit rustic and hotel itself quite old but still very clean and nice!
