Hotel Korpilampi

The location of Hotelli Korpilampi on the edge of a lake is just pristine. The room was quiet. Our particular room overlooked the lake and was near the end of the hall, so we were way out in the woods and right next to the lake. The breakfast was really good--so many options! My daughter lost her phone and the front desk staff kindly called the place we thought it was lost. We only used housekeeping once, and they did a great job. The room was impeccably clean. We hiked around the lake many times, and even though it was raining, got hot in the sauna, then jumped in the lake. This made the swimming pool seem quite warm! It was relaxing to lie in our room with the window open and hear birds chirping and hawks calling out over the lake. We did rent a car and found it quite easy to park and ride the train into the city and take ferry rides out to islands.

The hot tub didn't work while we were there, but no matter. We went into the sauna to get warm.

i will try to stay objective here, as I am almost in love with this hotel. It is hidden in the woods and I love the location. One can go for an evening walk in the woods. Or a day walk. Or a morning walk. There is a lake which is literally 5m away from the hotel and, as far as I understood (and have seen) is a swimming lake. Bicycles are available. The rooms are generally clean and hotel is relatively quiet (beautiful). There is a Spa and a swimming pool as well. Gym too. The menu in the restaurant is somewhat limited, but what is on it - is superb. Compliments to the Chef. The staff is very polite and welcoming and, even when there were hickups, it was always resolved rather normally (then again, I am a rather easy going person). Parking is abundant and rather spacy. The rooms are clean and comfortable (although a little bit basic), but still.... The internet and Wi-Fi is rather good. I seriously recommend this hotel to anyone.

Environment and nature, lovely lake, nice swimming pool and saunas

We paid for lake view, but got none. On our complaint they acted very annoyed. Not to mention that the holiday offer was not applicable through Booking.com, so we had to pay 100eur extra to get food (this was included to others for same price and they told us the day before our arrival). Luckily we got another room. Buffet was not worth the money- also food was not refilled on time so people waited, and cake desert was for the fastest ones...breakfast thought was good, for cake also there you get if you're lucky.

Buffet Breakfast was okay, staff was amazing and it's a great stay if you're going skiing or to the water park. The hotel is old but it doesn't feel dated, it feels vintage, it feels like new from the 80's. Gym is very 80's, i feel like Schwarzenegger when working out. The sauna was pretty nice, the rooms were comfortable. Great hiking trail around the hotel with a beautiful lake and wonderful greenery. The dinner at the restaurant was very tasty, the soup was amazing.

Breakfast Buffet options were fine, nothing spectacular.

The breakfast was so varied and plentiful. Tasty and surprisingly healthy! Quite inspiring. The rooms are spacious and the views are scenic. The staff are second to none and were always happy to help and extremely hospitable. The hotel exceeded our expectations completely. It was nature personified - we were surrounded by it. Just stunning.

We wished that the swimming pool could have been open from the morning onwards, and not just from 3pm to 10pm - as was the sauna. Another niggle is that we wished that there was a full length mirror in the room...

Breakfast is nice with a nice view of the lake, the walk around the lake is nice too which is part of the hotel property, the pools (for us we had two kids and there was another pool for them, besides a jacuzzi and larger pool for adults), there are enough sauna and access to the lake at the pool area, water is a bit colder than the pool, but perfect temperature in hot weather in June. There's a playroom for the kids with lots of toys, it was perfect!.

Very nice location for travellers with pets and kids. You can take beautiful walks, nature is just super. Some play things for kids, like play area inside the building and outside as well. Breakfast was very good. Kids were welcomed with the small notepad for drawing which made things more special for them. Even the dog was welcomed with the small treat! Inside the room, there was a drinking bowl for a dog and a towel.

Breakfast could last a little longer during mid-week days as well (at the moment, breakfast is only till 9.30). We arrived very late last night and would have wanted to sleep a little longer. The sauna and pool area opened only at 15.00...we could not try it although we would have wanted to. Would be good if pool and sauna opens a bit earlier so guests can take their morning swim or sauna before they leave.

Perfect location, forest around and the lake makes the Hotel attractive; good value for the money, basically almost everything you need, didn't try the swimming pool.

There's no refrigerator and if You stay longer and want Your own food for lunch or dinner, then there's a problem. Sport's inventory in the gym is old school.. Breakfast meniu is the same every morning, though food is enough and nice choise for day or two,but for a bit longer period, You get disappointed with same breakfast..

breakfast was really good - good selection, daily variety. the lake is a real eyecandy (but beware the undewater rock formations, injuries are easy to get here). sauna has access to the lake. the rooms are big enough for the family. fores walk are a must here. in total quite an enjoyable stay

always on a/c - a strange policy, but oh well, what can you do. although there is a pool and lake, we did not get any mantles.

Beautiful location right by a gorgeous lake. Helpful friendly staff. Delicious breakfast overlooking. The lake. After booking our accommodation for the wrong night and arriving after a very long day, the staff member was able to find us a room to accomodate us.

I had to pay the difference in the booking fee for the date change at short notice which subsequently meant paying more for a downgrade. My mistake though
