Hotel Inca Real

Small old-style hotel with 3 patios offering a fairly simple comfort (no heating in the rooms but there is a satellite TV, free wifi throughout the hotel and a good bathroom). Excellent breakfast (buffet-style on weekends but you can ask whatever you like on other days as well). Staff is very nice and welcoming.

Don't expect the airport shuttle service. They didn't provide it despite my request. But it is of no importance at all: the airport is located virtually in the city and it takes a short 3$ ride with a taxi to get to the hotel. A gas heater would be welcome for breakfast in Patio 1. Fairly cold these days (9-10°C).

I spent 4 nights at Hotel Inca Real with my mother, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The different patios were so beautiful and each adopted a different mood at different times of the day. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom had the necessary amenities, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, the staff was discreet and very helpful. The location is excellent.

The wifi connection was an issue in the room. We could never make phone calls from the room and had to go outside, in the corridor around the patio- this unfortunately was quite uncomfortable. I wish the staff at the counter sometimes had more recommendations to give, like specific restaurants etc.

The size & comfort of my room #C-3. The value. The daily breakfast. The hotel is classic colonial with a beautiful welcoming courtyard where you dine & take breakfast. The front desk employee Juan assisted me enormously throughout my stay, especially in extending my stay. Matter of fact, the entire staff, including housekeeping & restaurant, were highly attentive & accommodating. I recommend this gem in Cuenca without hesitations.

Nothing. It felt like home to me for 7 days.

The hotel had a great location, very near the Cathedral in Cuenca. The hall and common area were beautifully decorated, it was really a pleasure to have breakfast there. The staff was kind and helpful. The place was extremely safe. There was a bell to ring in order to enter the property. The breakfast were delicious with fresh fruits and eggs in various forms.

There was no dryer in the room. The room was located near a passage and the curtains were transparent so people walking by were able to look into the room and see everything. I would recommend to change the curtains.

Great staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful building. Room facilities met all of our needs, though bed was not the comfiest (but not bad either). Good location in the middle of the historical centre, and overall solid value. Would stay here again!

Front gate requires staff member to buzz in (no direct key for guests). This can be a little noisy at night.

The courtesy of the staff, the front desk person was so wonderful. They went out of their way. We had to leave for the airport at 4 am and they provided us with coffee and a packed breakfast we could eat along the way since it was so early that we were checking out!

I loved everything about the Inca Real. Gracious hard-working staff, delicious individually cooked eggs for breakfast with good coffee and fresh-cut fruit every morning. The place is spotless. On the morning we all left, my extended group departed very early. Staff made our breakfast when they ought to have been sleeping!

Nothing was lacking. I mean, even the weather was fab.

A great place, in the middle of the historical centre, the hotel is itself a historic building with an incredible atmosphere. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

If coming by car, almost impossible to stop for check-in before poceeding to parking lot

Very pld but modernized interesting building with many very quiet rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast.

This old building has thick walls so it is quiet but wifi signals can be blocked and spotty with the best place for wifi near the main lobby.
