Hotel Koldingfjord

Beautiful location of the hotel and beautiful surroundings, possibility of nice short walks along the shore and in the woods. The family room was nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good, the coffee was already on the tables in pots, the breakfast coffee was excellent.

The sound insulation between the corridor and room could have been a little better, but it did not trouble us much.

Wonderful location and great facilities: restaurant, pool, games. Well equiped, large room, comfortable beds. Good breakfast.

The staff is not warm enough to make you feel as a guest. They are polite, but clearly going by procedures rather than hospitality. We asked for a heater since the central heating was off and one day was particularly chilly. We were suggested to get some extra blankets... not necessarily smart nor emphatic.

The hotel is located at a beautiful spot, by the sea, with its own beach. The buildings and facilities are elegant, yet not ostentatious - we loved this too! Our room was great - very clean, simple yet stylish, with enough space for us and our stuff, with a really nice bathroom and enough space there too. The breakfast was great and the fact the we were able to eat it with the sea right in front of us just made it taste even better. ;-) We also had dinner at the hotel and it was very tasty, with a generous portion.

There was no air conditioning in our room, only a ventilator. I guess Danish hotels are not used to having 30 degrees in the summer, but with climate change it may change soon.

The view of the Fjord was exceptional. The food was amazing. The staff went above and beyond and helped me call taxis and gave me recommendations for local eateries. They also loaned me a wall adapter as I had left mine on a train.

The only small hiccup came after I had left. They reached out to me after I had already checked out and left the country about settling my bill. It turns out they didn't charge me for my final night or any of my food I had "charged to the room" during my stay. Not the end of the world, but it was a little odd.

This place is a real gem! Location and property are just stunning and very well maintained. Really friendly staff throughout. Rooms are clean, well equipped and with midern, high quality furniture. The views of and from the property are beautiful. Breakfast buffet is good, enough choices and of high quality as well (exception noted below).

Only two things: apart from pre-brewed coffee from thermos flasks, no other freshly brewed coffee such as latte or cappucino were offered for breakfast. Two pillows on each bed, one too big and one too small. But these are minor comments - overall I still highly recommend this gem. Perfect for a long weekend getaway!

Great location in calm and beautiful place. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Pillows and blankets are of high quality. Soft like clouds) Breakfast is various with everything fresh. I like herb tea made by leaves,not tea bags. And in this hotel the choice for leaves tea for breakfast is marvelous, around 9 options.

It is not a minus. We were on car. But be attentive. To get to this hotel you would better have a car, because it is out of city.

Fantastic location and thedifferentbuildings of the hotel.

We found the dinner at the restaurant a little expensive but guess it's the prices in Denmark for an aperitif, three courses with two glasses of wine. But of course great with local products. The staff ok but did not get out of their way to manage a table outside. We had to ask if we could move when people left a table outside,a huge difference on a nice summer evening to sit outside than in kind of corner inside that made jt all perfect.

uncomfortable and very big pillows. while booking you don’t realize there is another building on top and they place you there, so you most probably won’t stay in the beautiful building which I paid just for staying there.. but wasn’t possible. it should be clear while booking

location is super. specialy the excutive room in the side building with large windows and vieuw on thé fjord between thé trees.., Good location to exploire all of Jutland.

thé restaurant menu was quite dissapointing and thé restaurant itself lacks style. it doesn’t match with the rest of the hotel and is basicly oriented on large business groupes wich make you feel a bit lost as leisure holiday cliënt. So, staying yes, may be one dinner, but if you booked more days in thé hotel, chose an other restaurant somewhere else.

Exceptional hotel, feels like a 5-star hotel on many fronts. Beautifully located and attractive premises, good facilities, good beds, good breakfast.

It's a minor point, but our room had an unbalanced mix of pretty design furniture by Hans Wegner and Philippe Starck (nice!) with a rather 'standard' cabinet and desk -- the latter feeling a bit out of place and taking away from an otherwise beautiful room.
