It is a stylish comfortable hotel, nicely located and surrounded by numerous grocery shops and bars. The hotel itself has a nice restaurant, obviously popular with the locals. My room was very comfortable and quiet despite the fact it was facing the square. Very good sound insolation and super-comfortable bed enabled me to have a very good night sleep. You have to book your breakfast time to avoid overcrowding and I didn't mind it at all. My tip - come to breakfast before 7.30 to avoid queues. At the left end of the street, where the hotel is located, there is a very nice gastro-bar "Oscar", where you can buy beer and traditional Danish snacks at an affordable price - highly recommend that bar. The hotel is not cheap but you know what you are paying for. Besides, what is cheap in Denmark))!

May be freshen up the carpet in the room.

I asked for a quiet room and they delivered! Had a view facing into the inner courtyard so the club noises and clock tower wouldn't keep me up. They also helped me with the metro and nearby tourist attractions, and let me store my luggage since I was so early. You can't beat the location - it's exactly in the middle of everything fun!

There were only 2 things I didn't like about the room: First, there's no mini bar/fridge so I can't store cold drinks. Second, the hot water is very finnicky. It is never a constant temperature, always fluctuates between freezing or burning you. Very annoying.

The staff was friendly and helpful. This was also a good, centrally located hub. You can get just about anywhere from here, with the metro across the street, and the train station a 5 min walk away. They facilities were nice and clean, and the rooms are updated and spacious, and the building is older and has the charm of an older building. The breakfast is well worth it, and quite excellent.

I booked out of convenience and price, which did not disappoint. I also booked short notice and without knowing much about where to stay in Copenhagen. If had to do it again, I probably would have stayed a littel further away from the centrail area. I'm not one for shopping, more for museums and outdoor activities.

Room was great. It was very large, and well, but sparsely, furnished. It had everything we needed, including a walk-in wardrobe, room safe, and comfortable seating. Even although it overlooked the square which was a hive of activity, the secondary windows kept any noise low. Overall, excellent. Breakfast, as reported by many, was superb and catered well for the international guests in residence. Coffee was an early morning joy. What was obviously a one-time grand hotel, now catering for today's traveler.

Bathroom had everything we needed, but the shelves for our toiletries were a bit minimal. Given the available floor-space in the main bedroom, the bathroom could have been bigger. Lighting was a trial - too many lights grouped on too few switches. Bedside lights were too dim for bedtime reading, so had to use overhead lighting which was too bright for sleeping.

Location is excellent, the best for Copenhagen! Breakfast was very good and hotel staff at Breakfast was kind and provide a great service. Staff at reception has to be valued! Even though they were after their working hours they tried to do their best.

I think hotel management lack providing employees a good work condition. I arrived at 11 pm in the evening and one of my rooms had a big moth at one of my daughters pillow. I called reception and nobody attended. I then went downstairs and found out there were only one employee to handle check in and serve all the rooms. He had to go to the room take out the moth, replace the pillows and provide towels that were missing. Another day, someone left a stair in the middle of the second floor hall. Any kid could have had an accident.

The location was exceptional--right across the street from the beautiful city hall. Our room had balcony which overlooked the city hall steps where we could watch the many couples coming to be married. The room's layout was unique and perfect for two women traveling together--with two separate bathroom areas--one with a commode and sink and the other with a shower and sink. The breakfast was ample, unique and generally delicious. The staff was also accommodating.

What I didn't like had nothing to do with the facility. As an American, I was disappointed by the intrusion of several US chains in this charming area. Who needs a McDonald's, etc. when you can enjoy the beautifully presented smorrebrod?

When I arrived I was quite blown away by the facade - just stunning! Then it was up to our room with its 12 ft ceilings and antique door….then inside to the beautiful bedroom and bathroom. The chandelier was tasteful, the beds were very comfortable and the view was lovely.

I was a little disappointed that the electric towel rails had been disconnected since I hand wash my smalls every evening and it would have been nice for a drying rack. The Breakfast Room was far too small and crowded to make Breakfast enjoyable, despite the range of food offered being absolutely top-notch!

We had a king room with city view. Room was quite large. Bathroom and shower were huge. Bed was comfy. Breakfast had nice variety (although the breakfast area was a bit crowded- it was necessary to reserve a timeslot the day before to be seated right away- the hotel was at full capacity while we were there) Staff was pleasant. Room housekeeping was at request- not daily. This is a plus for me, as long as there are enough towels and coffee in the room, which there were.

We requested a city view room as we wanted a view of City Hall and the square. We realize this comes with the potential for street noise, which we have no problem with. That said, there seems to always be something going on in the square (our first day was a Brazilian Musicfest- second night folks celebrating the re-election of the Turkish president) Both were a little more than anticipated in terms of noise and went till about 11:00 PM (the day we left they were setting up for the Distortion Concert). Just be aware of the possibility of late night loud noise/and music if you have a city view room.

The location was excellent....close to lots of restaurants, Tivoli Gardens and walkable to all major sites and city excursions. Hotel staff very accommodating. The breakfast had some nice selections.

We had a city view room which we requested....however we were not aware of the bells that go off at the City Town Hall from 8 in the morning until 12 midnight...every 15 minutes. Not sure any hotel or hotel room (even in the back of the hotels) around the square escape the ringing. It is a quaint custom and we got used to it after one day.

Excellent value for money, staff were brilliant, reception staff and breakfast room staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of best breakfasts we’ve had- so much choice it was amazing as you didn’t feel like the mornings were repetitive as there was so much choice you could have something different each day. Hotel was clean and decor impressive in the lobby & breakfast room. Rooms were nice too - was lovely to have a bath which is something lots of hotels don’t offer any more but was nice especially with the weather being so cold at this time of year. The hotel is committed to being environmentally friendly and this means that rooms are only cleaned if you request them to be, things like extra towels can be requested too if you just need extra rather than a full room clean, this is great as an effort to be more environmentally friendly, with us staying only a few nights this was absolutely fine for us and we didn’t require any room keeping. Copenhagen itself we found to be lovely, really clean city, lovely people and lots of nice sights to see and shops and eateries to enjoy. We would like to come back at a different point in the year to see Tivoli gardens as they were shut at the minute for off season. Excellent hotel exceeded expectations. Excellent location. Fridge kettle etc in the room was nice and useful - room well equipped.

Only a few improvements which would be there wasn’t a charging socket next to the bed which would of been handy for phones etc but not a deal breaker, our bathroom door was a little squeaky too - room 336 but again nothing major. Some English channels or the ability to connect phones to the tv to watch Netflix would be great on an evening but again not essential.
