Lake Arenal Brewery & Hotel

Lake Arenal Hotel & Brewery exceeded my expectations in every area! It is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, with phenomenal views, walking paths, flora & fauna galore. The best brews and fantastic food! And the staff is above and beyond friendly, fun, and fabulous! We felt like we were at a private exclusive resort and we ate and drank to our hearts' content in a literal paradise. The rooms were the most well curated we had seen and the beds were extremely comfortable. The entire hotel is truly beautiful and every bit of it is well thought out. We were in heaven and didn't want to leave! The staff were some of the best people we have ever met and made sure we always had a cold brew in hand (shout out to the Pina Blonde! an excellent pineapple-y ale) and a good time was had by all.

The beer, especially the flight of beer for tasting which was included! Breakfast was lovely. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The bad weather was not their fault! The view, when it finally emerged from the cloud, was amazing and we loved the short circular walk to the edge of the lake.

Nothing, but if you don't like remote places, you're going to find that a problem. For more than one night you really need your own transport. New windows would be nice so the wind doesn't whistle in through them.

Beautiful grounds! The plants, birds, pool area, and hike were lovely! I got to see pava, toucans, white-throated blue magpie jays, mot mot, and more! Great view of the lake and rainbows from our balcony. The staff was fantastic - friendly, helpful, attentive. The restaurant and bar were wonderful. Great flight of beers to sample. Outstanding food at a very affordable price. Room was clean.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The facilities are obviously a bit older, but the value for the experience cannot be beat. Exploring the grounds of the hotel was really cool. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. The views and beer were incredible. We spent the majority of our stay in Santa Teresa but were fortunate to enjoy this property for one night. We hope to come back and stay longer.

Closer to the airport. Low price for accomodations. Food on site. very helpful staff (very helpful). Beautiful scenery. Right on the lake. Lots of things to do. Lots of bird sounds to fall asleep to/

WIFI wasn't quite strong enough at the last room in the cabin. It owuld have been nice to have a fridge. It was a little warm and there was no a/c.. There was an overhead fan that helped some and leaving the door open as well. There was also a breeze so really not that big of a deal.

It was like going back to the 70's The staff were excellent - the owner a bit of a character.

It is windy but it was built for windsurfers.

Vero and her crew are incredible welcoming! The food is amazing and their beers are of great value! Will definetly come back soon. If you're in Tiralan and you're looking for a restaurant is also a great idea to hang out for a while, eat and drink.

Great place next to the beautiful lake/reservoir....the staff were fantastic- friendly, professional, fun...and the owner a blast. The beer is excellent and the food (especially the tuna bowl) was excellent...highly recommend!!
