Holiday Inn Express - Barranquilla Buenavista, an IHG Hotel

Great food and facilities. Very convenient location. The room was very spacious and the room service was great. The front desk staff is very friendly and the restaurant service very accommodating and well priced.

I used the hotel's laundry service to get a suede leather jacket cleaned and they ruined it. Although I asked the hotel manager if the laundry company knew exactly how to deal with that kind of fabric to what she replied positively. To my surprised they stained the jacket and ruined it completely. The manager didn't respond promptly and I ended up with an expensive and damaged jacket. I would like to comment that the managerial skills of that manager are very poor and made my experience very unpleasant. I had to purchase from my own pocket the same expensive jacket and with no reimbursement whatsoever. DO NOT USE THE CLEANING SERVICE FROM THE HOTEL

The hotel is kept in very good condition, it's clean, the typical humidity that hits the area hard does not seem to be affecting the building structure or the overall furnishing throughout the place. The staff is attentive and very kind. The beds are comfortable, guests get several pillows and blankets, the shower was amazing as well as the privacy and security offered by the hotel staff

Breakfast should be served until 10 am instead of 9:30 am. For many of us that 30 minute window makes a huge difference. Also, there should be unlimited coffee available in the rooms to use the small coffee maker. Each pod makes only a 4oz - 6 oz cup of coffee, so one pod per guest per day is kind of a tease

Snacks, water and others beverages on the lobby's vending machine found way over priced. Example, water bottle price on the market is about $.50 dollars, price inside hotel in the snack machine was $2.0 dollars. Taxi fair inside hotel was also higher when requested at the lobby. Other than that , no complaint.

The breakfast buffet was really good. The premises were clean and they have really good wifi. Its in a really nice area very close to restaurants and about 25 minutes from the beach. Overall , I enjoyed my stay.

I paid for the Superior King room.. instead I got a big room with a queen sized bed. The bathroom was for a handicapped person as it was huge with a bench and rails. I did not like that . I didn't bother complaining but I wasn't too happy about it as I was charged for the king room I reserved. There was no hair dryer in the room which was inconvenient since I was at the beach all day and could not do my hair.

Everything was perfect. Check in, the staff, the building the room, no complaints. This is located in a good area very close to a large mall and Pricesmart. We stayed at a competitor hotel last month on the same street and were very disappointed. We are very happy we changed to the Holiday Inn Express. We will be back.

Breakfast was disappointing. There were many options for people wanting eggs, meet, caldo, etc. but not a lot available for people that like mostly fruit, greek yogurt and boiled eggs. We thought about dinning in the hotel but the menu is El Corral so not a lot of healthy options. Luckily there is a wonderful restaurant in the same building.

Service mainly, especially from the girl who continuously helped us at room 1005 from the 18-20th. She was very kind, she'd help us with everything we needed. We were very pampered by her and loved her! We didn't catch her name, but I know she has 2 kids and she was amazing. I'm so sorry I can't recall her name but please make sure you give her a warm message from our end and hopefully some bonus or promotion. She's a hard worker with a great, lovely attitude!

Its location is very convenient, close to shopping centers and the hospital. Relatively new hotel, free parking service.

The computers they have available for guest to use right across the front desk are old and unupdated.

the cleaning, the staff are wonderful. the breakfast super and the personal at the restaurant very gentle, Mauricio at the register is super nice and Alex “mantenimiento” the lady who help with Taxi services, is near of Big Shopping center Buena Vista I will going again to the Holiday Express at Barranquilla. thanks

Breakfast, very good and staff serving breakfast very helpful and because of covid: very clean everywhere Room and bed very good, nice pillows, great room service and again clean everywhere Pool on the 18th floor, looked very tempting, but run out of time for a dip: next time

Staff said they would put my IHG number in my reservation, but as of today nothing has happened. Staff at check in have not much knowledge about the IHG reward program. That is a shame

I enjoyed the hotel overall. The staff were accommodating—an excellent option for business or leisure. The room was clean and quiet, great view, and a comfy bed.

The food was not very good. Can improve on that. The lobby was very hot. Aircon was not working.
